Good Groggy Morning!
I didn't fall asleep until about 2am this morning and That Dog was insistent that I wake up at 5:30 and serve his breakfast! He so has me where he wants me!
I loved my new doctor yesterday! Never mind that she is only 4 yrs older than my DD - she was terrific! She even went to the same local high school that my kids went to - 1/2 mile from my house. But the good news is I will probably survive the year! i got the new pneumonia shot in one arm and a tetanus shot in the other. And I finally learned that the shingles shot is a "one and done" shot. No boosters. I asked.
BECCA - you make your place sound like a sanctuary! I hope you have many more years there!
JANA - so - how did you do on "Family Feud"?? I love that show!
TINA - I'm happy you're happy to mow. Probably makes Frankie happy, too.
VELDA - happy dancing! I'm so achy this morning the thought of dancing, especially the twirling with two sore shoulders, makes me wince!
IRISH - what's the word from PA today, girlfriend??
Tonite we have options! We can finish up the the chili relleno casserole with salad or we can move on to grilling that Siracha-seasoned chicken - not sure what DH will feel like come suppertime. But probably the casserole - it's two days old and isn't getting any younger.
What's yoing on your table for tonite?

Good morning from an overcast, not sure what's happening in the weather department, SW. Pa...The weather person said, there will be sun but when is anyone's guess...
I have sheets ready for the line but just afraid to put them...This time of year, I hate sheets in the dryer.....
I missed my visit to the table yesterday but I sure didn't miss lunch....We went to a Chinese buffet that was purrrfect...We sat for at least 2 hours and I think the plates were full most of the time....After that, I ran to the bank and then on to Aldi's...Oh, and on our way back from the buffet, 1 of the gals wanted to stop at a shelter...She has loads and loads of old towels and thought they could use them...Well, you know me and cats, had to visit the cat room...I wanted them all but there was one, I think the resident cat, walking around, wanting to be petted and would you believe, after being so nice and letting me pet her, she bit me on the arm????Might have been her way of giving me a kiss but....
Mary, not much happening in this neck of the woods...I'd say, "That Dog" does have you wrapped around his paws, but aren't they all alike...BabyGirl has decided, she doesn't like me sleeping on my side and will get behind me and nicely "poke" me in the back so I'll roll over...She needs to have her head on my chest with my arm wrapped around her or she can't sleep...I think we lose more sleep with the fur kids than I did with my own kids.......Happy to hear you like your "young" doctor and you'll be with us for awhile...We're on the list to get that shot when our doc gets his supply....
Did you have dinner with Warren last night or was that the other night?
Becca, As Mary said, your place does sound great and would be hard to give up....Hey, you just got new furniture, you need to stay put....
Guess I'd better get back to those sheets....Also, want to do some more weeding and more mulch to toss...One of these days, I'm going to sit on the porch, all day......
Not sure what dinner will be...Jim said, he was hoping the local fireman were having their hoagie sale, he was ready to treat, but wrong day, (darn).....So, I'm thinking of putting meat balls and sauce in the crock pot, cook some pasta and call it dinner.....
Happy eating...............

Good afternoon! What a crazy last couple of days!!!
You asked yesterday what I made Thursday evening… I can’t remember. Yesterday I planned to have a quiet day of sewing… I was watering my container flowers and DS3 called and asked if I could check on DDIL… Fortunately I grabbed my purse and a bottle of water and drove over to their place down the road... just in case I was driving her somewhere... INTUITION at its best! At 2:30 we were in Joplin at the E.R. She didn’t want to go to the hospital in town where she works. I finally arrived back home at 1:00 this morning!!! We were in the E.R. from 2:30 until after 11:30 p.m.!!! She was not having a heart attack as she feared—chest pressure, numbness, heaviness, etc… They did an EKG when she arrived and drew blood. Then we waited ALL that time. What she had was an adverse reaction to he super high dose of Prednisone plus the other steroid injections for her back injury. The ER doc in Joplin’s eyebrows went up and his eyes about popped out of his head when he heard what she had been put on dosage-wise in town. It did help her back and get her able to walk, but the side-effects were horrendous! The good thing is she is almost finished with tapering off the Prednisone, and after a week or maybe longer her symptoms should subside and disappear and she will be my sweet DIL again. I felt so badly for her. I talked and told stories and tried to calm her and keep her from climbing the walls and hanging from the light fixtures.
In order to drive the hour and a half home at midnight, I drank a bottle of diet Mtn. Dew. By the time we got back to the farms, I was WIRED! I washed dishes and made humming bird food and changed out the feeders. I got to sleep and felt hung over this morning and am still sluggish. She feels better today; I’m so glad!
Poor DH. I told him what re-runs he could warm over, but he ate cereal and bananas which probably made him just as happy and was easier than actually putting a plate in the microwave.
Speaking of the furbabies... major reunion when I drove in the lane last night (this morning). A flash of black and white with little legs churning down the gravel. I stopped the truck and opened my door. Odie literally devoured me; he was so happy to see me. When we got to the front porch, Tinker Bell, the lady, lost her restraint and about knocked me down with her welcome home. It's good to be loved!!! DH pulled his attention from his movie and paused it to greet me. I love my family!
Tonight… hamburgers… DH’s request. I am going to have a big portabella for mine with all the trimmings.
Mom was doing pretty good today. I took her some quilt magazines and the Country Register that I picked up at the quilt shop. She always enjoys traveling to the shops in the articles and ads… from her armchair.
My DGD texted me, and I think she will be coming tomorrow to spend a week at the farm. I'm so ready. She said she was already packing.
Enjoy your Saturday night’s dinner!
