SUPPER CLUB - Thurs, May 21st

Good morning! We're supposed to go to 75* today but for now, we have 52* and fog. But I have faith in our weatherman!
JOANNE - now that you mention it - I think I heard somewhere that Riker was a cousin to the Hough's. and he kind of looks like them, too . . . he sure is talented, that's for sure! I usually have pots of flowers all over our deck and front porch, too. But since we're going to be gone this summer for 2 months, I figured there was little point. Besides, since we put a roof on our deck, there's not much sunlight for the flowers. I'm cheating and have green silk plans now.
IRISH - I've never watched survivor. Do they ever let overweight people play? Every ad I see for the show has everyone in itsy bitsy teen weenie bikini's! I used to go to a chiropractor, but they just 'snap' you back into place, and you can 'snap' back out again quickly. with massage, all my parts and pieces reassemble slowly (not to mention much more pleasantly!) and tend to stay in place longer. No one is more surprised than I to find myself getting regular massages! lol!
CHICKIE - poor Doyal and his watermelon patch! Will it ever grow, he is probably wondering. But like you, I wouldn't be rushing that heat!
GENERAL LADY CAROL***** - whew! That's a handful to type! I never realized you were so windy over there. Or is this unusual for you? Now with Chickie, we'd be surprised if she DIDN'T have wind, being Kansas and all. But I always figured you to be in a quiet, green pastural setting.
BECCA - well, if you ever do get to WA, put me on your list! That hanging basket must be huge! What flowers are in it?
JANA - hope the lightening didn't get you! We rarely have T-storms here but when we do I unplug all our electronics, even our coffeemaker. Our neighbor lost her computer and Tv to a power surge so I'm extra careful - especially with my sewing machine and The Quiltinator!
TINA - so what form did your hamburger take?
VELDA - How was the play? What part did your DGD play? It was Sleeping Beauty, right? so exciting to see kids' plays. I miss that.
Today I'm mailing my Chaos quilt off to Autumn in Texas and then FINALLY picking up my new glasses. Again. I never made it yesterday. The excitement here today is that DH is, even as I type, loading my Crazy Jane onto the frame! Four long years and here we are!! I'm fairly tingling with excitement!! I'll be quilting this one myself!
For supper, we are having our friend, Tex, over. His wife is out of town and the mouse is playing! We're going to grill some pre-seasoned chicken breasts from Costco, asparagus, and zucchini. I also have some brown rice, gluten-free pasta to make as a side dish. Tex is on the Paleo diet and I try to keep close to that when feeding him. We'll also have a salad so no one should go hungry. No bread and no afters. Just maybe a sip or two of wine. ;o}
How's things coming along in your kitchen tonite?
