Hi all Dinner Friends!!
I am going to be BOLD today and start this out. Sorry, Maryz, I know this is usually your thing. I am afraid I might not get back in here until it's too late to post. LOL
I went to the store and got all my "supper" things for the rest of the week. Yes, it is a little tricky to plan my meals, but it's fun, too.
Last night, we had Steak burgers. Yummmm, they were really good.
Tonight is going to be Smoked turkey sausage, Then the next night, I bought a frozen pizza.(Thurs is dance night). Friday we have dancing, too this week, so I will fix the last two Steak burgers (they came 4 to a package). Then Saturday and Sunday, we have a couple of other choices to finish off our menus. I won't bore you with all that now.
The frig looks so bare, it's kinda funny to see it so bare. I did buy some fresh fruits (apples, oranges, and a couple of bannas). They make good snacks.
I can't wait to get back with our camper and plan more meals with my crock pot and meals that generate left overs, like soups, etc.
Hope you all have a great HUMP DAY!!!
Vel

Good Morning!
VELDA - no worries! I'm not the Queen of Supper Club, but merely the princess. lol!
We are having a week off cool, damp weather so no yard work for me. I'm anxious to get back out there, but am forced to stay inside and sew. I'll probably take a break, though, and make a scratch vanilla cake for my son's birthday and put it into the freezer. I don't need it until Saturday but it will frost more easily if partially frozen.
We had a big lunch yesterday with my brothers so DH didn't want the supper I had planned. We went with tomato bisque soup and grilled cheese sandwiches instead. So tonite we have our leftover meatloaf on the menu, with mac & cheese on the side and a salad to finish it off.
Tomorrow, I'll have to come up with new, unused food.

Velda, I always try to have 1 day/night a week that we make sure no leftovers get left in the fridge, we really haven't been having too many leftovers lately though.....bummer, I like those times I don't have to figure out what we're eating LOL
Mary, sounds like you had a good day yesterday

)
We did get our rain yesterday, it rained really good for about 30 minutes then took about an hour off and repeated several times until the evening when it just stayed raining

) so this morning I didn't have to water anything!

) I actually sewed for about an hour before Easton got here

) Can you believe we don't have any puddles though?! We were just too dry.
Tonight we're having Carne Asada tacos, mine will be in lettuce instead of corn tortillas

) and I'll make some guacamole too

)

Tina - sounds like you need a suggestion that will generate leftovers. So, I will post here today.
Yesterday I made stuffed bell peppers. a pound of hamburger will usually fill 4 peppers. We ate 2 last night and will have the other 2 tonight, with a side salad.
I like leftovers. I made beef barley soup Sunday, was a repeat Monday and still have enough for another meal.
Maryz - thanks for following my travels. Get your map ready, we leave for Sioux Narrows, Ontario, Canada, on May 30th, with gkids aboard.

Good early afternoon from a very chilly, dampish, yucky, Sw. Pa....What happened to my summer?????Mother Nature is up to something or getting even with someone and I've been good, so it can't be me.....
We just got back from a very exciting venture...Had to go to the "new" bank, then stopped at the cemetery, then the old bank and then Walmart and then McDonalds of all places and brought home sandwiches......I know, you're all jealous....Then I get home and there's a message from my sister...She's having her car looked at, sitting at the shop and wants me to pick her up and go for lunch....Well, I'll be picking her up but she's out of luck for lunch, such as it was....
As far as dinner, I'm thinking chicken ala king....And when I get back from my 2nd venture, I'll need to bake something....Those cinnamon rolls were so good the last time, I might have to try again....Oh well, the wedding isn't until the Fall of 2016 so I still have over a year to drop those extra pounds.....
Happy eating..................

I'm going to go get some h'burger from the freezer... Tonight's dinner will be something from it for DH... sliders, maybe. I have some veggie soup for my bowl.
We are chilly and overcast here, too. This is crazy weather!

It's a beautiful Spring day here! Sun shining, blue sky and 60's. It could be a touch warmer, but I prefer this to hot and muggy (last week! lol!)
I had planned on cooking something, but Earl said, Mama's...so off we will go! We went to Medary's before lunch for the bread, milk etc. but I didn't really buy any meal groceries. The freezer is full (all four of them..lol).
Almost time to go! Survivor tonight...I hated that Tyler was sent home, he's one of the good ones...
Rodney needs to GO!
