SUPPER CLUB - Mother's Day!

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun May 10, 2015 7:32 am

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day to you all! I'm thinking of my mom today and all the fun Mother's Days we had.

JOANNE - glad you get to go where you want. and five weeds is better than four weeds!

BECCA - I love all your nature sightings. Even more, I love that you take the time to notice!

IRISH - eagles always make me think of you! and that's a compliment!

TINA - spaghetti for you and mom!! splurge! it's mother's day and you certainly deserve it!!

JANA - your talk sounds purrfect! I know it will be a hit!

CHICKIE - you're elbow deep in biscuit dough right now so I won't keep you, but wish we were there with that terrific family you and Doyal have! and eating some of those lighter than air biscuits!

My package yesterday from Autumn was slippers! I'd admired some she was wearing last winter and now here they are! Medium blue suede leather, fleece lined mocassins with outdoor soles. I LOVE them! Friends invited us over for impromptu burgers last night and since my outfit matched the slippers, I simply wore them to their house. We can do that, can't we?

Now on to supper. I have no clue. We still have our spaghetti sauce in the fridge, but when I mentioned putting it on polenta to DH he scrunched up his face. So I guess we'll put it over pasta instead. and a salad. Now out to the yard. If I find my gardening groove today, it could be the last big bunch of yard work - for a while!

Happy Mother's Day to you all! Hope it's special to your heart.

Good morning,

Mary - so nice when they pay attention and get the perfect gift! Yes, we are allowed!

I survived my talk. It went really well. The others speaking today with me, hit on allvthe same points - that was good, as I was the last and brought it all home. None of us talked to the others, but all our talks meshed together. That's how it works in church!

Dinner tonight - Mary close your eyes - grilled salmon, green beans, and whatever else they bring. The kids are cooking for me here - fun!

Happy Mother's Day!
Enjoy,
Jana

Happy Mother's Day, all.....I am having a quiet day thinking of Mamma and all the wonderful memories she left me. :) DS1 and DS2 are in other states celebrating with my DDinloves...:)...they are wonderful mamma's to my 4 grand-children and I am so blessed..:)..After church for lunch we had a traditional Mother's Day lunch with just DH and my Papa..if we had more here this year we would have roasted corn and hot dogs and burgers and had pulled pork....but with just us we had chicken egg salad and baked beans and then some root beer floats..:)...for supper we will likely have left overs...it's been a peaceful quiet day...later I will sew..So glad your talk went well, Jana..what a honor to speak today at your church..Sounds like we have about the same Mother's Day spread, Vinae..What cozy slippers, Mary :)..well I should hope you could wear them over to your friend's house...I would have worn mine even if they didn't match my outfit!...and my friends would not have even noticed..:)...they are use to that about me...you all have a great day!...God Bless...Sonya

I usually don't get here,,but I was looking for ideas for supper. then my youngest son called and asked me to join them for dinner out...ok then oldest son called and invited me for supper out...ok then DD called and said we were all meeting at a restuRANT near my house...ok so now I don't need any ideas for supper after all. and my middle son called to wish me Happy Mother's day since her lives far away from me...but I will see him soon for a visit...so that takes care of that...Happy Mother;s Day all. Sounds like everyone's Mother's day plans were great! :-) I didn't cook at all today :-) Frankie took me out for breakfast and then he cooked burgers and hotdogs on the grill at lunch then for supper he cooked chicken strips and made a salad, my day was great! DD and kids were here most of the day and while Easton took a 3 hr nap in his bed me and DD got 2 of her UFOs put together and I even quilted 1 and did the binding after she left! Easton finally has a quilt that I made! It was a joint project but beggers can't be choosers :-) LOL
I hope you all had a great Mother's day!
Tina
