SUPPER CLUB - Sun, Apr 26th
Good Morning!
We had quite a full table yesterday. glad to see no one is going hungry! Imagine the feast if we put it all together in one big pot luck supper - pork chops, salads, enchiladas, potatoes, soups, pizza, fried chicken, and pumpkin pie! Oh my!
We had our chops last night along with mashed potatoes and salad. Tonite - homemade pepperoni pizza. We have 1/2 jar sauce and 1/2 jar turkey pepperoni in the fridge. I've also got bacon, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and black olives to add along with 4 kinds of cheese. A real feast for DH. When I plan to make pizza, he never tries to change the menu. lol!
Have you got a supper plan worked out yet?

MaryZ-- my DH also never tries to change the menu if it's pizza.
Irish--I wasn't real crazy about the snickerdoodle gooey butter bars. I used half the cinnamon called for and felt they were still too sweet. I think my favorites are lemon, chocolate and plain (those are really good with berries on them!). I'll post a recipe here one of these days...
We should have company arriving... right now! Cook out... I have made potato soup, fruit salad and a dip/sressing and guacamole... also have chips and crackers. Others are bringing the brats, buns, s'mores and ??? We'll ride the trails around here and then have FOOD!
Enjoy!

Good afternoon,
It will be fend for yourself - the refrig is free game! Maybe, one of the kids will invite us over - hope hope hope!
It is raining and at times snowing - we even lost our power for most of the night and part of the morning. All is back on now. Sobi have the dishes running trying to catch up.
Enjoy,
Jana

Good afternoon from a very sunny, very pleasant, SW. Pa...It's up to 60 which is higher than they predicted, but it's greatly appreciated.....
We went to early Mass, breakfast, Aldi, Big Lots and then ended up getting gas for the car and mower....By the time we got back home, I was more than ready to get into comfy clothes...Jim kind of got comfy himself and promptly fell asleep in his chair...He said he's resting up for the Pirate game that comes on at 4:00.....
I probably won't make it to the table tomorrow....I'm leaving at 5:30 in the AM (yep AM) and going to my sister's and then to the hospital with my BIL....Gonna be a long day and probably a very long week...I'm sure he'll end up back in a nursing home after he's released from the hospital....But, we cross that bridge..........
Although we went shopping, I'm thinking of burgers on the grill...Maybe a pouch with potatoes, carrots and onions to go with it..And of course that has to have lots of butter...(With all the butter I use, Paula Dean would be so happy)....The pie is almost gone (thanks to Jim) but enough left for afters, I think.....
Happy eating.................

Beautiful sunny, blue sky day! Not terribly warm...about 60 deg., but that's ok...no rain or clouds!
Tonight is BBQ chicken breasts, real mac and cheese and peas and carrots..and some sliced tomatoes for Earl.

Hi everybody from south Louisiana. DSs 1 & 2 and I spent the better part of today in the French Quarter. Our oldest received an award for outstanding youth in our church parish. Archbishop Aymond presented the awards to nearly 100 youths and adults from the New Orleans area. The ceremony was held in St. Louis Cathedral. If you ever get a chance, take a tour of that beautiful, historic Cathedral. (Look for it on NCIS New Orleans) We are celebrating with grilled steaks and all the sides. Thanks for letting mama brag a bit, Abita
