SUPPER CLUB - Sat, April 11th

Good Rainy morning! Looks like a sewing day here. Except right now, there is nothing to sew. After toting a big box of of small pieces of fabric around the country for almost 4 yrs for my friend, Jane, it's now time to empty it out and 'scrap' the smaller pieces and tuck the bigger bits back into their "mother" piece of fabric. Of course, this entails a lot of trimming the scraps and straightening up my fabric shelves. Slow going, but relaxing as I just listen to my book on tape and get "in the zone". Maybe today I'll finish it . . . But probably not.
My Riley hasn't come back. I suspect she's gone over that Rainbow Bridge, as Chickie called it. And when Foxy was out that same night, too, I'd like to think he was with her, holding her paw. Yesterday he was extra affectionate and stayed close to me all day. Today, he acts like he's king of all he surveys. My SIL, ever the comforting angel, said, "Well you have one cat and a dog. Isn't that enough?" My DB just turned his head and gave her a wordless look that said, "Do you know who you're talking to here??" lol! My SIL does not like cats. How she ever got hooked up with our family, I'll never know because even Daddy was a cat-lover!
CHICKIE - let me get this straight - your DH licks his lips over rats, squirrels, rabbits and other vermin, but you have to hide the fact that he's eating an uncommon grain?? LOL! I'm so glad that he's not in charge of meals when we visit you! BTW, congrats on #17! Catchy name, too! What color?
IRISH - wish I could have seen you out stylin' in your jacket! Glad it suits! I wore mine the day before! For those who are wondering about our jackets, we have matching denim jackets with brightly colored cats appliqued on them. Too bad we can't get together and really make a show of ourselves strutting our stuff down the street!
LADY CAROL - so is your new position of general laborer a PROmotion for you or a DEmotion? Perhaps it's a 'lateral move'. I'm sure your garden is looking "luverly" but hope you don't have the achies too badly!
JANA - it's been my experience that while the pros are 'in-house' any project moves along swiftly, but when it comes to the last finishing touches and my DH says, I'll do that, I ask him 6 months later, "When?" he says, "quit nagging me!". I wish you luck.
BECCA - anything with lima beans and you can count me in!! I love them! But I don't get them too often because DH does NOT love them. at all.
TINA - what a lot of hard work you've been doing! OUCH! So where are all these stones going? Now I can feel my back tightening up after reading your post! I hope you have a heating pad! lol! I need to go get mine out now.
Tonite's supper is still a mystery. I might have lentils over rice, though DH will wrinkle his nose at that. I might also have polenta parmesan, but he'll wrinkle his nose at that, too. Maybe it will just be plain old spaghetti. That will make his tummy smile.
Hope your tummy is smiling, whatever you feed it tonite.
