SUPPER CLUB - Sat, March 21st
Good Morning!
BECCA - Happy Birthday to you tomorrow! Thank you for the birthday wishes for me. Though my birthday is Monday, the 23rd. I hope you enjoy your special supper at the new restaurant tomorrow!
IRISH - How's the robot competition coming? Sending crossed fingers to your Nicky! That's funny that Jim has a closet full of game tapes to never watch!
JOANNE - your BBQ'd pork sounds tasty to me. That was my plan yesterday but we switched our menu and we're eating at friends' tonite and DD's tomorrow. So pork is on hold.
LADY CAROL - I hope your cough is outa there soon! You're right - it's tiring. And it puts a dent in your popularity, too!
TINA - Sounds like a lot of fun at your house! But the good news is that kittens love upheaval like that - lots of places to play and hide! The brand name of the brown rice pasta I buy is Goldbaum's. It's pretty new. If you can't find any I could send you some to try.
JANA - is the tile for your backsplash? Our backsplash is a 1"x4" piece of material that matches the countertops.
We've been invited to friends' for supper tonite. There will be 4 couples. The men are cooking unknown things in their dutch ovens. Bill is doing cornbread. I'll also take an appetizer (a toothpick stabbed through a grape and a cube of cheese). And there might be a bottle of wine in there somewhere. ;o]
It's the weekend! PAR-TAY!!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sat, March 21st
Good morning,
Yes the tile is for the backsplash. I wanted a little more "texture" in the look of the kitchen. Michael is really wanting to do the tile work - he enjoys some puttering around here.
Soup was postponed until today. I am still slightly disadvantaged in working in the kitchen, not everything is back and unpacked. Hopefully, it will be done today.
Maryz - it didn't dawn on me until this morning - my niece across the street has the same birthday as you! She is a redhead too! Great minds are born that day!
Enjoy!
Jana

Good late morning from still chilly, but warming up for today and then back to cold for a day.....One of these days............
Mary, sounds like you're really going to have a good day/evening...Just don't strain yourself too much, making those appetizers, lol.....With our new TV and darn Comcast, Jim isn't able to watch his tapes unless he wants to sit in front of a little, old set...Last summer, I came in the room to find him in shorts, AC on watching ND and Penn State play in a blinding snow storm...He said, that's the best way to cool off...Silly man!
Nicky's robot competition is going well...They just won their last match and now on to see if they made finals....(Pop another heart pill, gram!)
Becca, Happy Birthday, a day early.....Hope you enjoy your dinner and your weekend.....
Jana, I think you're right, something about those red heads...My Kathy is a red head and of course we think she's extra special....
Not sure what might be on the dinner table...We haven't had pizza for awhile and this just might be the day (if I can pry a certain fellow away from the March Madness games long enough to pick it up....)Notre Dame doesn't play until late tonight so someone is also going to have to work in a nap....So, maybe pizza, maybe soup and sandwich, maybe a bag of popcorn....But, I am baking zucchini bread so we'll have some goodies.....
Happy eating..............

Watching University of Cincinnati play Kentucky....it's a real contest and rivalry...If all it takes to Ky is desire, UC will do it. My bracket has Ky winning, but that's my mind, not my heart! lol!
Earl fixed breakfast at noon...and there is leftover bacon...so Earl suggested BLT's and macaroni salad and beans from yesterday...so that is what it will be!
It is going to 65 deg. and sunny today...I've opened all the windows that still have screens in them!!!

Good almost evening
)
We were invited bright and early this morning to go to DD for supper tonight, then at lunch she said the meat didn't thaw to put in slow cooker in time so that will be for tomorrow. So tonight we're having chicken, coleslaw and maybe baked beans
)
We've got all the windows open here too Joanne
) the house smells so clean and fresh
) it's not really clean though, Frankie is using pipe clue which stinks to high heaven so he didn't want me getting high LOL so all the windows are open
) I'm waiting on him to finish to vacuum, dust and clean bathrooms, he keeps tracking sheet rock all over so no use in wasting my time LOL I've been busy helping him and I have all my butterflies cut out for the butterfly swap
) I'm taking a break while he's under the house doing the plumbing hookup
)
