SUPPER CLUB - Sat, March 7th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Mar 07, 2015 3:45 am

Well, I did show up yesterday, but seems everyone had left the table. We were down to one vehicle as the truck was in the shop so I had to drive DH to his early morning gym class, hurry back, take my own walk, go pick up DH, stop at the post office to pick up mailing boxes, drive to Tacoma to pick up DH's truck, drive back to post office to mail pkg, and so it went all morning. we didn't settle down until 1pm! Then I got busy cleaning for the next 4 hours. I did finally stop by, but you all had moved on. I did notice, though, there was coconut pie for dessert! Yum!! And JANA - I saw the cutest little 6" square electric frying pan at Camping World 2 days ago! If I'd known you needed one . . .

Today I'm going to a baby shower. It's a long drive so it will be nearly an all day event. I have some lasagna in the frezer and I think I'll take that out to thaw through the day and tonite when I get home I'll pop it into the oven and toss a quick salad.

also, when I get home, I need to make that lemon cheesecake for Warren's birthday celebration. He loves lemony stuff. And I have a lot of cream cheese and lemons to use up. I had thought this dinner was going to be last Thursday and was all set to bake when Bill told me it was Sunday instead. I hadn't gotten the 'change notice'. Glad he was there to stop me!

So, what's for supper at your house?

Good early afternoon from still snow covered but it's finally going to be above freezing, I think....I might have to break out the shorts!

Mary, I knew you'd have a good excuse for not "setting" the table...But, you know we do worry....You know, after having 2 cars for years and then going to 1, it's funny, how you kind of rearrange your schedule....Along with being an inconvenience it sometimes comes in handy....Especially when someone from your class calls and wants you to come to a meeting...Aw, shucks, Jim needed the car.....

Well girls, the 3 little words you really don't want to hear when you wake up was spoken today...."Potty doesn't work"!!!! When words don't help, call buddy Ted....I'll bet Ted didn't figure when he built his house, he'd be doing maintenance on 2 homes....But, we'd be lost without him....

Yesterday's lunch was great and Jim's was satisfied with his dinner...Of course he had pie to satisfy his sweet tooth....I just don't think I'll be up to cooking or even thinking of something to make for tonight's dinner...Those 3 words have me in a dither and only take out or taking me out will make it better...Of course a running potty will also help......

Happy eating...................

Good late afternoon! I went out walking with the dogs when we returned from town and getting the groceries put away. We found two more just-born calves. Both are dusty white/gray and so cute! The twins are doing fine.

Tonight I'm fixing DH a steak and baked potato with soup for me.
