SUPPER CLUB - Mon. Mar 2nd

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Mar 02, 2015 3:36 am

Good Morning!

I hope all of you snow bunnies warm up over the weekend!

We had a productive few days. DH finished our trailer! Yay! Today I'm going to clean out there and start moving things back in. All that's left is to re-install the couch (it's built in on metal supports) when it comes home from upholsterer, hopefully in a day or two.

To celebrate, I'm going to make one of DH's favorites - chicken noodle soup from scratch. I'll even make the noodles. I don't have a pasta machine, but instead just knead my dough and roll it out. I hate having to store small appliances.

I also plan to make some lemon curd soon. I needed two lemons and for the price of 3 in the regular grocery I got a whole bag of them at Costco. I can't use them up fast enough! Does anyone have a recipe for lemon cheesecake? Guess I should Google that.

What's on your menu for tonite?

Good morning from "snow bunny" country, SW. Pa...Gee, we had more snow over night, just an inch or 2 but enough for the schools to have a 2 hour delay...It's almost a given any more, kids get to sleep in every day...One good thing about the delay, they don't have to make up the day and hopefully will be out of school before the 4th of July.....

Mary, you're really treating that HOH pretty darn special...I guess every once in awhile, it's a good thing, lol.....I was ready to smother Jim and/or the cat, with a pillow during the night. Baby Girl knocked Jim's glasses off the head board and of course Jim couldn't sleep, knowing his glasses were on the floor...Use the flash light, turn on his bedside lamp and then turn on the ceiling "spot light" and then the 2 of them trying to crawl under the bed....They had bounced the whole way under my side of the bed and finally using a yard stick, got them out....Jim and I, both wide awake very early, Baby Girl still sleeping very soundly... Gonna be a long day.....

I've never made or had lemon curd and can't help you with making lemon cheese cake but could sure help you in the eating department....

I'm thinking, might be a good day for stuffed cabbage rolls, some type of potato and a veggie...Also found some apple squares in the freezer so won't be baking for a day or so.....I know Dan is waiting for pumpkin pie so maybe that will be next.....

Happy eating...............

Yesterday I made the cookie and delivered it. Had to come back home for dinner, so we had salad and cleaned up the tamale pie. Tonight, hopefully the pond fruit will be thawed and I'll fix it.

The cookie was a hit with DGS. He came in just as we were getting ready to leave. He and a friend had been rubbing all the snow off of every slope they could find, and when that was done they went out on the 4-wheelers. Kids!

Good morning,

Yes we are snow bunnies today - it has snowed about 2 inches so far and 4 more are expected. It is behaving, snows in the morning and melts off in the afternoon.

Dinner is cube steaks with asparagus.

Heading down to the Batt Cave to sew.

Enjoy,
Jana

Tonight was supposed to be dinner with the pringles...but Earl and son have to "sandbag" the front of the workshed to keep out water...all this snow will be melting tomorrow (50+ deg.) and 2 inches of rain!

So I've got potatoes, ham and green beans in the crockpot!

Joanne
