SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Feb 27th
Good Morning! Welcome to the table!
BECCA - do you still have snow? Snow calls for more soup or stew or chili, right?
COUSIN IRISH - yep - I already patented toasty PJ's. Sorry. I don't like getting into a cold bed. How many eggs do you have now? Did you get three? If so, I missed the third one's announcement.
JANA - have you called the Granite folks to see what's going on? When we did our countertops, they wouldn't let us have the piece they cut out for the sink, though we did have to pay for it. I asked why. They said they used to let homeowners have them but someone dropped it on their foot, broke some bones, sued the granite company, and COLLECTED! So now they won't let you have the cutout. I wanted it for my crafting and whatever use I could think of. Glad you're getting snow. In our Cascade Mtns, we have only 7% of our usual snowfall. Summer won't be pretty here.
JOANNE - 50*!! Whoo Hoo! Bikini time!!
CHICKIE - well, now you got me all set for gingerbread. Oooh, with lemon sauce over it. I have lemons. And I also have whipped cream. Guess I'll be baking this afternoon.
TINA - where are you?? Hope you survived your dirt storm! I think you should have chile relleno's tonite.
I'm still plugging away at my Chaos at the Courthouse quilt. It's an interesting pattern. Blocks are simple to sew, but color choices and arrangement keep me on my toes. The rest of our trailer carpet goes in today. YAY!!
Bill has actually requested a chicken pot pie for supper. We have Marie Callendar's in the freezer. We bought a few frozen entree's for our trip home from Texas, but never got around to eating all of them. For me, macaroni and cheese. I don't eat it very often, even though it's my favorite meal. And a salad. And maybe gingerbread!
Bon appetit`!

Thought I would pop in here and see what's cooking.
Maryz - Leave it to so idiot to mess it up for everyone else. We never thought to ask for the sink cut out, and it's a big sink! Rats!! Only 7% sounds really bad for your summer.
DH woke up with a scratchy throat. I've started him on extra Colloidal Silver, Airborne and a couple other things. Hope I can cut it off at the pass.
So, dinner will be chicken and danish dumplings. I'm a firm believer in chicken soup when sick.
Good day to all,
Lyn

Good morning!
I am still waiting - I will be old and gray by the time this is done! LOL I am already old and getting grayer by the day!
I did ask DH if he thought I could have the sink cutout - it is a big sink too - but we are not sure - will check with my contractor. He was to to be here yesterday, but his wife was sick and he took care of the kids. He is coming sometime today.
I did chicken last night with store bought mashed potatoes - not bad - Bob Evans brand. The things you do when you are a pioneer woman cooking!
Most of the snow has melted off the lawns - but the roads are covered in black ice! No way am I setting foot outside! More snow this afternoon.
Dinner - I will see what I can "cook" up from the freezer - no ideas
Enjoy
Jana

I think I'll make gingerbread. I didn't get it made yesterday. For dinner... I'm thinking maybe something that swam in our pond a couple of months ago... It is Friday and Lent after all. If it doesn't thaw, then tamale pie... It's looking like it might snow, and we have 80-90% for tomorrow but only 1-3" accumulation. Maybe I should go to town today and not plan on tomorrow. I'm having trouble staying warm today, so I'm not excited about getting out in the wind and cold.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Feb 27th
Good late afternoon from sunny, cold, Sw. Pa...Same ole, same ole.....
I actually went out today, yep, bundled up like I live in the Tundra and out I went...Of course, we all know, there has to be lunch involved if I venture out....My sister had to leave her car at the dealers and MADE me pick her up and forced me to go to Walmart and then lunch...We did call Kathy and she met us and it was great....My sister is a very funny gal, always ready to laugh no matter what's happening and she's had some terrible things happen...Right now, her DH is in a nursing/rehab home and of course she is worried but, as she says, life goes on....And Kathy is doing fine, huge cast and all....
Mary, would you believe, Jim just asked if I'd make him 1 of those frozen things...Which, translated means, Michelina's Salsbury Steak and mashed potatoes..I'm not a fan of frozen dinners but these little things are very good...
And our eagle parents decided just to have 2 "kids" this year...Last year's 3 were really a talon full....Eagle parents share all nest duties....By taking turns sitting on the nest and rolling the eggs every 2 hours...The other day, the mom got off the nest and steam actually rose from the eggs...I am so fascinated with these birds.....
Chickie, would you believe I didn't get my gingerbread made and now my mouth is really watering...Hope you made a big one, you're going to have lots of company stopping in, plate in hand.....
Becca, those cinnamon rolls don't last very long in this house....Just thinking about them adds inches to my hips....Doesn't seem fair, that all the really good things are bad for you.....
Well, time to put Jim's dinner in the micro...Now what can be easier than that???Mine will be left over lunch which consisted of "tiny mac n cheese" and fries.....And there's still a few cookies left, so we're good to go.....
Happy eating...........

Hi Chickie!!
Just passing thru...wonderin' if you could share the recipe for gingerbread, my DH would gratefully appreciate it.
Irish, made your potato soup the other day...delish!
Bye, Lucie
P.S So much going on in my life just now, can't keep up with all of you.
Just found out MIL has a mass on her pancreas two centimeters big, it's malignant and the doc says she 145 days. DFIL is not well either. Won't be surprised if we have two funerals this year.
I check this thread for ideas, thank you!

Lucie I will send the recipe tomorrow. So sorry to hear about your DMIL. Thst stuff goes so fast. I really miss Scrappy Pat; she didn't have long either. Your poor FIL will be devastated. Hugs to you!!!
P.S. since we may have snow tomorrow I decided to go to town today. DH and the dogs went along. We dropped in on Mom and left her some gingerbread then went and ate Chinese And I got a few groceries. The store was PACKED with everyone stocking up before the (mmaybe) storm. It will be interesting to see if we get any snow.
