SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Feb 4th

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Feb 04, 2015 3:14 am

Here it is Wednesday again! Seems like it was just yesterday . . .

Thank you for birthday wishes for my Lara. She and her hubby, Lee, spent the day in Seattle, walking around Pike Place Market (where they throw the fish) and then down around the sports stadiums. They saw the Seahawk busses and she had to send me a selfie of the two of them in front of the busses. She was so excited! They are HUGE fans.

VELDA - are you going to go to the LQS in Victoria in your Hopping Adventures? It was a very nice shop, fair-sized, better prices than here at home, and some bargain corners. I was there with Cindy, Lyn, and Honey Thanksgiving weekend. There's a Hancock's close by, too, that we stopped at.

BECCA - egg salad and potato soup sounds delish to me!!

JANA - what a layette! Such a lucky baby! What kind of fabric are you using? Jungle animals? kitties? Spongebob? I'm trying to picture it all.

IRISH - did you go out yesterday? Hope that snow bank didn't get you!

CHICKIE - I hope you get your Minnie back soon. She's been in the hospital just too long!

JO - no need to ask how your supper was last night! lol!

I think tonite we'll be having stir-fry veggies and turkey kielbasa over rice. Chickie gave me the idea. We haven't had that in a long time and all the ingredients are here.

Bon Appetit`!

I just updated yesterday's post to answer your question about Butterbee's, Mary and here you were posting today's Supper Club! lol!! So just check out what I added to yesterday's post...

Now today...I have 1 1/2 lbs of ground chuck thawed..and I haven't any idea what to make! I've thought about speghetti and chili, but I'd like to do something different. Will probably just do burgers and some hash browns and a salad...

EDIT: Change of menu! Sloppy Joes, cole slaw, macaroni salad!

Good early afternoon from sunny, warm, wonderful, SW. Pa....See what confusion (and cold weather) does to my mind....And now down to earth, it is sunny but cold and still snow covered and I guess it is wonderful.....

Mary, I think with all the traveling you've done, it would be hard to know what day it is....Jim and I have a thing, when we can't remember, we look at that days paper....BUT, today, Jim picked up the sports section and sure enough, it had Tuesday, Mar. 4th, right across the top....We're fighting a loosing battle.....

Becca, egg salad and potato soup, that really does sound good...Haven't had either for awhile...

Tina, I'm going to have to check, did you post pictures of the new fur baby? What did you name the baby?

Just read in the paper where one of my favorite places closed...They had the best spinach salads and the gals and I would go there often...We're getting a Double Wide Grill in it's place?????Oh well, another place to check out...

And tonight's dinner will be new food, finally......I'm making lasagna and if the smell coming from the kitchen is any indication, I think it's going to be pretty darn good.....AND, I might even break down and bake some banana/nut bread...Of course I don't want to over due, so we'll see, lol......

Happy eating.................

Good Afternoon everyone,Cold here & snow is in forecast for tomorrow.

IRISH Glad the snow bank did not get you.On the cubby hole I would forget to write about ours.In our last house the stairwell was 2 story so it was like a ballroom inside I loved it as I could hide anything in there.
In this House it is standing room at a small area but the rest you have to duck down.I used to let the DGs get inside & they loved it for hide & seek. Now it is such a chore to go in it.Did not mean to write a book.LOL

JANA That is quite a layette.Know it will be loved.

TINA Your new baby must feel so loved.Enjoy it.

MARYz I cracked up over two Weds.I come here early this morn & saw 7 had written & knew something was up.So I waited for todays post.

Joanne Glad you are able to post again.Of course I have missed a lot so maybe it hasn't been long.

DH wanted steak & creamed potatos. For me chicken soup as it helps my head.He has cake with ice cream....Becca

Good afternoon!

Millie is back! I'm $880 poorer, but it's still cheaper than a bunch of payments, taxes and insurance.

DH had an eye appointment in town yesterday afternoon, so we stopped and had pizza on the way home. It was so good!

Tonight will be the stir fry with the browned turkey/venison combo, fresh spinach and udon noodles. It calls for soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and sriracha for seasoning. Hope it's a keeper; it was in a magazine. The recipe called for ground pork, but there was none in town that wasn't sausage, and I had turkey and venison. It also used linguini--also not in town, and I had the udon noodles... so...

Tina--your baby is so sweet!

Everyone--you can't go wrong with anything that resembles Oriental, Mexican or Italian as far as I'm concerned. I'm really craving tamales again.

Enjoy!

Good late afternoon -

Dinner will be a corned beef brisket that jumped into the basket at Costco this morning.

Sarah and I have been shopping all day - I am tired! Hobby Lobby, Jo Ann's, Costco, and Sam's Club. We got what we needed for the party food and decorations.

Off to create a couple of more things for this layeete - it has taken on a life of it's own! LOL

Enjoy,
Jana
