Good Morning!

Is everyone ready to celebrate Super Bowl? Even if you're celebrating it by a spending the day fabric shopping? lol! (I will be in front of the TV!)

JANA - sorry about the frogging. the worst frogging I had to do was about 30" of quilting stitching while laying on my back under the LA. I had to alternate between hunching over the top and laying underneath to save my back. Took me all day long. And what a project your kitchen is! I remember you saying when you moved into your new house that you would get the cabinets you wanted later. And suddenly, it's later!

BECCA - sorry to hear you've been down with a kidney infx. Hope you are in the pink again soon! Drink that cranberry juice and lots of water!

JO - did you get to go out to eat? And did you get more snow yet? Not much is worth going out in treacherous driving conditions. I'd be cancelling my appts, too.

IRISH - when I was growing up, we had a "glory hole". It was the biggest room in the house and was in the center of the house, so no windows. Had the laundry, storage shelves crammed full, and just a huge collection of STUFF. A kid's heaven! I remember burrowing way back into the STUFF and making a nest of sorts for myself where I'd go to read. Mom could never find me! Another time my sister and I arranged all the STUFF to make a gypsy camp and told fortunes to anyone we could entice into our tent. All that STUFF was our favorite toy - next to dirt. (loved to play in dirt!)

Tonite, we have some leftover chicken, dressing, and green beans. I think I'll make a chicken pot pie with it all. And a salad.

What's in your pot today?

I'm getting ready to go to town for my visits. Looks like rain and the forecast is 90%. Should I take an umbrella?

Steak will be on DH's plate today. I think I'll make a little fried rice for the side and a salad. I'll have rice and salad.

Enjoy!

Well another foot of snow here in Maine along with the wind and a wind chill of below zero, tonight's dinner is belly warming corn chowder and biscuits.

Good morning,

Mary - as much as I detest the Seahawks, I hate the Patriots more - so GO SEAHAWKS! I don't know how much of the game I will watch, but love the commercials.

Dinner will be a coupke of thin sluced ribeyes with a salad. Michael is loving having meatloaf leftover for a sandeich.

I am almost done with the frogging - Sarah's shoulder is doing much better too.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good afternoon from a very sunny but very cold, SW. Pa....And the snow is still out there and more is predicted.....Maybe our famous groundhog, Phil, won't be able to get out of his hole......

Mary, loved the story of your "glory hole"...Our cubby is on the 2nd floor but you have to get into it from the steps (kind of hard to explain)...But, it's a big space but just not tall enough to stand up in...It's where I keep bins of extra blankets, pillows, out of season bathroom stuff and anything else you can think of...Oh, that's where we also keep all the games and toys (huge bin of Legos and blocks)...The kids loved crawling in there and playing for hours..But, it gets cleaned, at least twice a year whether it needs it or not, lol....I always think, one of these times, I'm going to get stuck in there and never been heard from again...Perfect place for Jim to "get rid of the body".......
I think we might have a "friendly" little rival in our house at game time...Jim really likes Tom Brady but I've been a fan of the SeaHawks since Tony Dungy, such a gentleman.....Might have to put some money on this one......

Jana, I love to hear about people getting new stuff and can't wait to see pictures of your kitchen...I figure, if I can't do it, I'll live through other's remodels.....

Becca, sorry to hear you've been having problems....Hope and pray you're feeling better...

Chickie and Tina, I think I'd rather have your rain....This "pretty" snow is getting kind of old......

And this being Sat. (it is Sat. isn't it?), it's one of those "help yourself" days as far as eating...Still no baking and Jim has been checking in all the cupboards and down to the last of the graham crackers...Maybe I should tell him, there are 3 containers of cookies in the freezer...Nah, maybe tomorrow.....

Happy eating.............
