SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Jan 17th

Happy Saturday!
Yesterday I found a pile of bargains and at least 6 great Christmas gifts! I happened to hit bargain day at a few stores and some of the things I got were only 50 cents. Others were a dollar. Nothing was over $4.99. and we had a great time, lunch at Subway (where I thought of all you Subway fans!) and then we picked up a pizza to take home to the menfolk. Such a nice day!
JANA - yes, it is fun to have friends all over the country. Between quilty folks, genealogy, RV friends, and lots of relatives, we've managed to accrue quite a Christmas card list! And that sounds like quite a layette you and Sarah are doing! But with two of you, it should go quickly.
TINA - burgers sounds good! I think Esther says that's what she wants for tomorrow while we watch The Big Game.
CAROL - is turkey sauce the same as regular marinara sauce only using ground turkey instead of beef?
RHONDA - beef barley soup sounds good. I hope to get the hang of using barley one day. Last time I tried it in soup it ended up thicker than mashed potatoes! lol!
IRISH - yes, there is a certain amount of guilt to wearing shorts in January. But I beat it back and managed to buy myself 2 more pairs yesterday! lol!!
BECCA - baked sweet potatoes is a favorite with us, too. We just like butter and S&P on them.
Today my friend, Esther, and I are going to a quilt show here in Yuma. I'm really looking forward to it. She has also offered the use of her washer and dryer so I'm going to pick and choose enough things to wash to get us home. maybe 2, possibly 3 loads. We have another 9 days or so before we get home and the undie situation will be dire if we don't do something before then. lol
I'm not sure about supper plans but if Esther hasn't got anything up her sleeve I'm going to suggest to her we make veggie beef soup out of the roast beast leftovers from the other night if they haven't used them already. Otherwwise, I'll offer to make a spaghetti dinner. Whatever happens, I'm sure we won't go hungry!
Bon appetit`!
