SUPPER CLUB - Mon, Jan 12th.

Good Morning! Bet you thought I wouldn't be able to find my way to the table this morning - but here I am, napkin tied around my neck and knife and fork in my fists!
We are in a town called Ft. Stockton in west Texas. There is a LOT of west Texas to go through. a great place to do hand work while traveling, 'cause there's not too much variance in the flat landscape.
The little cafe in this RV park was closed on Sunday night so we ended up thawing a container of soup from the freezer. But DH wants to go there for breakfast this morning before we hit the road. We'll gain an hour today as we cross time zones, which will put us going through El Paso about 2pm. Tonite's stop will be in Deming, NM. Our usual Rv park is only 3 miles from Tina so we're going to be visiting her. DH will work on her computer and I'm sure Tina and I will find some kind of trouble to get into.
I think we've got her talked into making her homemade chili rellenos for us. I hear she cooks great Italian dishes, too, but when she asked us what we'd like for supper, all I could think of was the chili rellenos she made for us when we were there last year. And I'm assuming that my wish is her command - right?? Though we love Italian, too!
IRISH - a restaurant where they threw your silverware at you?? My goodness! The most unusual restaurant we ever went to was in Dallas about 17 years ago, called "Midieval Times". I think there are several of them around the U.S. now. We were given cardboard crowns in specific colors. The colors matched the garb of the knights that were performing as we ate and we cheered for 'our' knight. We sat in bleachers around an arena with table-height platform in front of us for eating. The knights held competitions, jousting events, etc. Wenches served us tankards of 'ale' and our meals. It was dark so we couldn't really see our food. There was no silverware, thrown or otherwise, so we ate with our hands and each food item had a colorful name, but it really was game hen, jo-jo french fries (called 'dragon toes'), and I don't recall what else. quite a fun event as wall as a tasty dinner.
What's the entertainment going to be around YOUR table tonite? Hope there's no jousting!
