Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

We are off to Houston today (350 mi round trip) to buy a new fridge for our trailer. RV fridges are VERY expensive and vary widely in price. Even factoring in the fuel, we'll save $250 by going to Houston. Road trip! Scottie will go along. Cats will stay home and watch the place.

BECCA - Pandora earrings! What a nice thing to happen on!

CHICKIE - have you gotten all your Christmas sewing done yet? I seem to have messed up my Jane as the first completed border just doesn't fit - it's 2-1/2" off. I just can't 'ease' that much in. So now I'm in a "sewy funk".

SHERRY - your Christmas lights outing sounds nice. Almost everyone in our campground has a light display, including us, so we walk Scottie after dark and admire them all.

ABITA - no confessions needed here for serving a frozen lasagna! Nowadays they are almost as good as homemade, and so much easier and faster. I love foods like that for busy days or for travel days.

Since today will be a travel day for us, I'm not sure what we'll find for supper. We have a bit of cooked chicken leftover from the frozen leftover chicken cacciatore we heated up last night. Trying to eat the biggest food we have since we only have a small cooler to put things in tomorrow while the new fridge is going in.

Also, Autumn and Aaron are coming tomorrow about noon to spend the afternoon. and I have big foodie plans. Hope the fridge goes in quickly, easily, and EARLY!

Bon appetit`, y'all!

Hi Mary,

Hope you have a good trip today. You will be so close to Cindyg, you'll have to give her a holler' as you go by.

I think if our frig gave out, we would just get a residential frig. We've talked about it and read posts from other RV owners and a lot of people are doing that. Even when we travel, we don't load up our freezer, but a regular frig will keep things for many hours as long as you don't open the doors. Residentials are a lot less expensive.

We thought we had a problem with our the other day, and it turned out to be the hose outside was plugged up and the water backed up and dripped inside. We got that fixed and figured it out on our own. I was really glad it was that simple.

We are eating leftovers this week as I cooked a turkey breast with all the trimmings on Sunday. We enjoyed our first leftovers last night, I will be going for some turkey and gravey on biscuits and a nice salad tonight.

Enjoy your road trip today.

Hugs
Velda

MaryZ--I still have another project to start today and hopefully finish. One other may be postponed until after Christmas. I don't think I can get it finished. My SIL will be here to spend the night and is bringing her two cats so I have to clean up the sewing room and put my stuff all away so the cats don't get into it.

Soup tonight. No cooking!

Good afternoon,

Dinner - well I am not sure - soup would be good, I also have a couple of ribeye steaks - so we will see. If Daniel has his way, steak and a baked potato - a salad his mom will add.

Enjoy,
Jana
