Good Morning, and welcome to your new week!

I guess I had the date wrong yesterday. It was the 14th, wasn't it. My bad. But now we're at the halfway point through December. Is it just me or has this year rolled by faster than any other year to date?

Our past supper with the kids yesterday was purrfect. We cooked and ate outside and then sat around the campfire. Poor Autumn was miserable with a cold. But other than that, I really enjoyed their visit.

And we have leftovers for tonite! Pesto pasta and cooked chicken breast to add in. We even have leftover salad, so no cooking tonite!

I hope everyone's supper will be as easy as ours will be!

Good morning,

Chief cook and bottlewasher is on strike! I can't even get to my sink! The uglies ha e started a uprising and I am losing. LOL

Noodles were a huge success - 2 gallons of soup - not a drop of leftovers. So something simple - a cassarole of some kind.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good Evening All........its cold.........

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:-

MANY PEOPLE WILL WALK IN AND OUT OF YOUR LIFE...BUT ONLY FRIENDS WILL

LEAVE FOOTPRINTS IN YOUR HEART......

When we went out for breakfast on Saturday.....the market town(where we go) had their Victorian Christmas Market...the wares they had for sale were wonderful......there are so many talented people about....we both came home with damaged credit cards.......
and on sunday we delivered the frozen goodies to Cindys freezer and on Friday they will make the journey up north to Claires freezer.....
Willows blood tests came back....a lot better than the first lot...so it looks like her medication is kicking in.....somewhere in the medication is Folic Acid.....Steroids.....vitamin D....and one of the liquid doses to protect her tummy.....
On Friday......Cindy was in hospital as a day case.....for her 3rd shoulder operation.....no.....she hasn't got 3 shoulders.....this time(if I understand correctly......I am an old lady).....the bone was shaved to make more room for the tendon......not a happy bunny.....wants to be "doing" all the time...not very good at doing nothing......

Sewing the binding on my last quilt to be finished before Christmas.....is anyone else doing the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt? I have cocked up on clue 2.....so I will stay with my binding for a while......

Todays menu....Chicken in white wine and cream sauce.....creamed Potatoes.....Green Beans......Chocolate Cheesecake for afters

Carol

Good afternoon! This is definitely soup time of the year. Yesterday I put the ham bone in a pot of bean/grain/dried veggie mixture with some onion, garlic, bay leaves... and popped it in the oven. It is delicious! Tonight I will make corn bread to go with it.

Mary--when I made my split pea soup, I thickened it with dried potato flakes. I keep them on hand for thickening soups. It was so good!

Becca--I love caramel! I don't think I have ever had caramel cake. Yum!!! Cake! Caramel! Both together.... happy sighs! It's just so hard to cook for two of us.

Jana--I need to make some chicken and noodles. Haven't had them in ages. I know the grandkids would like them.

Carol--hope your family is healing! Oh, and your credit cards--always fun to find good stuff! There are several gals that post in the Sew In that are doing the Bonnie Hunter quilt... Kathyquilts and Suzette for sure, but I think others are printing the directions for future making.

Need to get back to sewing...

Hi y'all from south Louisiana. I made a chicken pot pie tonight and it's all gone! I will post the rec. on the other site. It has been really warm lately, but I'm not complaining. We don't have the heavy clothes necessary to brave the cold. We could use the little rain that's headed our way. My prayers go out to all in need, Abita
P.S. Prayers work - I have been praying my DH would return to church with the boys and I. Low and behold, he came with us yesterday and enjoyed himself. Thank you, Jesus
(I hope I can say that.)
