Can you believe it's already December? Weren't we just having 80* days last week?? Only 24 days left - are you ready?? For that matter, the days will start getting longer again in just 3 weeks! Always a hopeful sign.

Our plan for supper is to grill pork chops and have them with mashed potatoes, and salad or green beans. But with DH doing a big repair on our RV's black water tank valve, and me inside trying to sew with one old angry cat, one young confused cat, and a playful sheltie in the middle of it all, it could be an interesting day and we might have granola bars for supper! lol!!

Hope your day is less attention-getting than mine will probably be!

Mary--too funny! What a picture that makes!!! I'm sure Bill is thinking of the "when you're up to your a-- in alligators..." as he works on the tanks. Not fun!

There will be ham!!! Actually, last night we had chili. I had put burger and pumpkin in the fridge to thaw so made it up last evening. It was so good after the weather turned cold. I'm sure I've mentioned that I add pumpkin to it rather than tomatoes. DH never knows he's getting vitamins and fiber... I'm not telling! He doesn't like tomatoes. It's probably his one flaw.

Good Evening All......its cold and rather damp here today.......

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK.....

A RETIRED HUSBAND IS A WIFES FULL TIME JOB.......

back again after an eventful few weeks......remember me saying about our power cuts.......well...we got home from our bonfire weekend to find the electric had been off all weekend.....fridge defrosted itself and big puddles all over the kitchen floor and lots of food dumped.....we will be connected to a different source on Wednesday......and do you recall me saying our Willow had this rash on top of another rash back in August.....drs were at a loss...so Claire was given a lot of different creams for her....none helped.....then Willow said her knees hurt....they were inflamed and swollen.....the dr. sent her straight to the hospital.......cut a long long story short....she has Psoriac Arthritis....both knees....both wrists...both elbows and one finger......she is on 61 tablets and 17 liquid doses a week.... so I am busy making frozen meals for the Bristol family to take up as there are also at least 2 appointments a week for at least the next 6 months.......and it all started with a srep throat.......

but on the up side.......3 quilts have been completed.....and 3 baby jackets are at the sewing up stage.....and I have just bought another sewing machine.....just a little cheapy that I will be able to take to my Afternoon Club.......

Becca.....I think you have been poorly.....hope you are back in the pink again
Maryz ......do believe you went to the Big Quilt Show.....so sure you enjoyed it and didn't dent the bank balance to hard......or did you.....
Irish.....so good to see you back.....I read only a couple of days back.....but there was too much for me try to get up to date with that I feel like a "new girl"now.......

todays menu.....Beef Stew and Herby Dumplings......Apple Pie and Custard for afters......

I am roasting a turkey for dinner tonight. I really miss leftovers so am roasting my own. I will need to freeze some, but I am happy to have turkey. Also Yams, salad and green peas. Very simple meal.
