Today, 51 yrs ago, I was sitting in my 7th grade desk, pencils down, hands folded demurely, listening to the school intercom system which was broadcasting the radio, reporting the assassination of President Kennedy. What an awful day in history. Where were you that day?

As I've come to expect, our supper plans haven't happened at all this week. These impromptu happy hour parties in the campground are getting out of hand! lol! I need some veggies! So tonite, since it's supposed to be stormy today, I'm guessing no parties so we'll have a big salad and then the lentils over baked potatoes that I planned earlier in the week.

We've got to hit the grocery store again today because Autumn and Aaron are coming for a BBQ tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to see her again. And we'll get mail again, too. mail here is always fun because the bills are going to our home address. No nasty-grams here! lol!

So what's the plan for your supper?

I was at home sick that day. I was a freshman in juco. I couldn't believe what I heard on the radio.

Your impromptu happy hours sound like a bunch of fun! Sometimes, veggies are in order. I had lots of greens on my taco salad last evening... DH, not so much. His cholesterol is amazing; mine is a mess. I'm headed for the grocery store, and I think I might get him a nice steak. We'll have baked sweet potatoes for a side for him, and main course for me.

Enjoy!

Morning from dark, dreary, cold, Sw. Pa....How many days until spring????

I remember that terrible day, 51 years ago, like it was yesterday...Jim was working 2nd shift and we had just finished lunch and had Mike Douglas on TV when they came across with the announcement...Jim went on to work and closed the plant and then went to church....We were glued to the TV for so many days... It was like loosing a member of our family....Unbelievable....

As far as our dinner, good question....Don't feel like cooking or eating but maybe, could be talked into a Pizza Hut delivery....We'll see...

Happy eating..............

Good morning,

I was in 4th grade and the school kept the information from us. They felt we were too young and waited for our parents to tell us after school. It was a tragic day for their family.

Dinner - humm - we do need to eat, but since I am just clearing up breafast, dinner is still on the back burner of ideas. Something will pop out - I hope! LOL

Enjoy,
Jana

Hi everyone.

Just popping a pizza in the oven tonight. Don't want a bunch of leftovers sitting in the frig while we are gone. Been trying to cook "just enough" the last few days. Last night we had a big pot luck at the club house. Now, that was fun and yummy!!!

Maryz, your campground sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy it while you can. The time goes too fast, that's for sure.

Hugs
Vel

I was in 3rd grade that terrible day......teachers brought in a TV and we watched the news the rest of the day......students were crying though I don't think they really knew why..........

As for dinner, I fixed hamburger steak and veggies.......

DH is going to be gone tomorrow, so I am going to clean house.
