SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Nov 20th
Good Morning!
We didn't get the kitty. The people that found her decided to keep her after all. Sad faces in our house. So we've decided that we're going to look for one (or two?) for ourselves at a shelter, either here in Texas or when we go home. it would be nice to get one now to adjust it to life in the trailer, but it would also be nice to get it when we go home, as I expect Grumpy Riley won't be too happy about this, and Scottie will be so rambunctious about playing it could get very active in this small place. So we are thinking . . .
IRISH - I'm with you on the 'at least 2 cats in every house' theory. Since we lost our Bunny two years ago in this very campground, we haven't gotten a second one because Riley can be very unwelcoming, but we've decided we're going to overrule her now.
TINA - have you ever made chicken parm? It's the same thing, I think. How did it turn out? I've made it a few times. I should do it while I'm here - for Autumn, who is vegetarian.
CHICKIE - I'm starting to worry that that rental will never be finished! On the plus side, you are able to skip out on cooking some nights because of it. But it's a rough trade-off.
Tonite there is a happy hour party at the campsite of the folks who kept the kitty. Half the campground is invited. There are always snacks at these get-togethers. So a light supper afterward is planned - a baked potato smothered with lentils. Costco sells seasoned lentils in packets that you just heat. The packets come 6 in a box. I'm hot a huge lentil fan, but these are really good.
What's going to fall out of your freezer tonite?

Hi Maryz,
Sounds like a great party at your campground. We are eating out a lot this week. I had made my chicken casserole and had been eating up the left overs. Tonight, we are going to IHOP to use a gift card. I love their "Senior Pot Roast" and DH loves their 'Philly cheese steak sandwich". No cooking. I love that. I will be able to get some needed repair sewing done today. I bought some jeans for DH and I don't know why they miss size them so bad. One pair was and inch too long, the other was 1 1/2 inches too long. I know they tend to shrink, so I need to wash them a second time before I hem them. My luck, after I go through the hemming, they will shrink again and be too short!!! LOL
Always my luck.
Enjoy your party. Can't wait to check later and see what all ends up from the freezer to the tables.
Hugs
Velda

Mary, it turned out really good
I went ahead and thawed a chicken breast and did chicken parmesan too, I wanted some kind of backup LOL now we have at least 2 meals of leftovers! So I don't have to cook for a few days
I layered the leftovers and made a casserole out of it
I have an 8x8 filled to the top! I'll probably be eating lunches from it too LOL Your get together sounds fun, should you wear an oversized coat with just enough room to smuggle a little black and white purrbaby out? Just a thought
Velda, enjoy IHOPS! We have one now and have eaten there twice
we don't eat out very often but when we do we're usually in Mexican food mode and IHOPS just doesn't make the list

Good morning! Only one more day (tomorrow) at the rental for me! Today I'm going to my DD's and have lunch with her and take a birthday cookie to DGD. She's 12 today, and she's our youngest grandchild. Time flies...
Tonight for dinner... I think I'll wait until I get home and maybe open some soup. I could also do some rice and lentils with the soup over... We've had a lot of the fried chicken lately, so I think we will hold off on it.
Need to run... Enjoy!

Morning from another cold, yucky day.....Jim just left to help with the elderly bingo and I'm going to hibernate in the sewing room....I've been working on Chris' Tee shirt quilt and boy is it tough....I cut and I cry, I sew and I cry, but it is going to be so nice, even if it does have water marks, lol.....
Mary, whatever or where ever you decide, the kitten/cat you and Bill choose will be 1 lucky fur baby...And I like the idea of maybe 2...You know they are just like potato chips.....
Our dinner will be what fell out of the freezer yesterday...I found this frozen casserole, wasn't sure what it was but with a little more sauce and cheese, it turned out pretty darn good...So, hopefully, it will be just as good tonight....
Happy eating.

Hey everybody, we are having meatloaf, smashed potatoes, and sweet peas with pearl onions. I took our black lab to the vet today for her yearly check up, shots, etc. She didn't even cry once. Boy, it gets more expensive every year. Temp has warmed up today almost 65*. We will have rain this weekend. Prayers going out to all in need, Abita

Good evening,
After working hard all day we picked up a couple slices of deli roast beef and made french dip sandwiches loaded with grilled onions, mushrooms and swiss cheese.
Afters were a lemonbar I got at Costco they are yummy!
Kitchen is going forward, just need to find some extra money - I have very expensive tastes! DH has this turnip that he can always find the money in! LOL
Enjoy,
Jana

I good for awhile on diner, made ice cream pail full of muffins, and bucket of coated chicken. Good for few days. I hate being in ktchn daily.
