Well, some of our friends are off to the Houston Quiltfest today! Lucky them! Though if you have a thing with crowds, then perhaps lucky you! I've been and loved it, but it's overwhelming, it's so huge!
Sounds like there was a lot of soup-making going on yesterday. We love soup here, too. I'll be making that split pea soup tomorrow. I like to put small dice carrots and potatoes in my soup as well as celery and ham. And I think I'll use up my turkey broth rather than just plain water.
But for today, we have a late lunch at a Mediterranean restaurant. We are meeting two other couples - DH's retiree friends. That means that we must might not want any supper. I'll make the soup anyway and it will be just as good tomorrow!
Bon Appetit`!

Good morning,
Mary- stop reading now -
OK, for everyone else, we are having a orange PNW speciality for dinner with a lemon dill sauce and a rice pilaf. Green beans, that I froze will also accompany the plate. Not sure about afters, we will see if I have a piece of candy left or not. My favorite Halloween candyIis a Reese's Peanut Butter cup. I have a great homemade copycat recipe that is yummy too.
Michael and I have a ton of errands to run today - then back to the Batt Cave - slowly making progress with all my books and craft patterns. I need to shuffle my clothing patterns around in the file drawers to make more room for all of them. There are too many middle numbers. I use to do this when I worked at the fabric stores, with all the patterns in the big drawers! Oh, I could make a mess of those, and got paid for doing it too! LOL
Enjoy,
Jana

Jana--when I worked at the dime store in high school, I filed patterns in the drawers if my candy counter wasn’t busy. Cotton fabric was 15 or 19 cents a yard! I like your pattern filing system. I don't make clothes much any more.
Mary--lunch sounds good!
I didn't do soup last night--no time to cook it after a busy work day away from the house. I made taco salad... yum! I am helping DH today so not sure of tonite's fare. It may be red beans and rice with sausage... or it could be canned soup.
We are going for a hard freeze tonight. Dinner needs to be WARM!
