Tina--thank you. Wish we could all be there holding Irish and her DDIL Kathy. They have been through way too much.

Abita--that is a long way for a 13-year old! Know he will have a good time. I'll go for Mexican with you... or Cajun, or Italian, or Chinese... Have fun!

Good Morning!

I wasn't late getting up, but late on the computer. Glad to see the table's been set!

First of all, prayers for Irish's son, Chris. I hate to think how her heart is hurting.

Abita, Wishing your son a safe and exciting trip with many happy memories. I never leave home with my St. Christopher medal. It rides in my wallet with my coins. I've almost "spent" him a few times! lol! I was bummed when the Catholic Church decided he wasn't a saint after all and that maybe he didn't even exist. My older sis and I refuse to accept that and she now refers to him as MISTER Christopher. lol!

TINA - thank you for the heads up on Irish. Sending good thoughts your way, too.

Our dinner with Warren went very smoothly. He stayed for 4 hours, which amazed us. He had to be getting sore sitting in that wheelchair the entire time. He was very quiet but seemed to be happy to just be out of the facility where he lives. It was his first time in our house in four years since he and Lois have both been so sick for so long. And this was his first time here without Lois.

But now, after a weekend of wanton eating, we've got the leftovers! You name it, we've got it! No cooking for us tonite! I think I'll be freezing some things for simple meals while traveling.

When I posted, I had no idea what dinner would be. Now I know... "mystery cut of meat" (DH's butchering of a calf that is from a part somewhere in the area of a T-bone), frozen corn that I cut off the cobs this summer, and a salad. I also think I'll make onions and peppers to go with my meat, but I might have tofu instead.

Tonight is Dinner with the Pringles....at Hibachi Grill...an Asian buffet..Earl loves it.

I'm so sorry to hear that Irish's son isn't doing well...prayers for them all.

It is a gorgeous day...going to 80 this afternoon, but rain and cooler tomorrow. Trick or Treat Friday will be in the 40's! UGH! I will make my chili and some of those crescent dinner roll/hot dogs.

Seems like on Monday I always think about cooking! lol!
