SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Oct 14th
We came away from DGS's 21st birthday laughing last night. Drew waited 21 years to be able to order his first drink. He grinned so proudly as the waitress dutifully checked over his I.D., then brought him his flight of beer oz. of 4 different beers. She helped him choose, described the flavor of each one - and turns out he doesn't like beer! he finally gave it away to his dad and her sister and drank water instead. But good for Drew!
I'm going to be doing some rabid sewing again today so dinner will be quick and easy - chili burgers and a spinach salad. We have just enough chili left from earlier this week. Tomorrow I'll have to put my thinking cap on to come up with something new. But it could end up being Cheerios!
What's YOUR favorite variety of Cheerios? We go for the classic original ourselves.

I never met a Cheerio I didn't like. The chocolate ones are for snacks, not milk. You can't beat the originals.
That's so funny about your DGS. He has plenty of time to acquire the taste--just hope he doesn't acquire too much of a taste.
I might do chili or goulash tonight. I have some pasta cooked and ground beef needing browned and added to something.
I'm sewing too.

Good afternoon from breezy, very warm, semi sunny, SW. Pa....
Mary, you have a wise DGS....I always laugh when the kids grow up and just can't wait to order and then it turns out to be nothing great....Good for Drew......
I have been missing and it's not good news....Chris was taken back to ER but seemed to really snap out of it...Sunday he was fine, as long as he didn't have to walk (just can't get his breath)...He even told Jim and I, we didn't have to keep running back and forth to visit...But, on Monday, during dialysis, breathing was so bad they had to put in the breathing tube and moved him to ICU...They've kept him deeply sedated and keep trying to figure out what's happening...His white count is way high and might have another infection....With as many tubes and things running in and out of his body, it's no wonder something could get infected.....
So, as for our dinner, that's almost nil and void....If we're home, we eat what's in the frig or on the shelf or bring home something....
I might not make it to the table, but we're eating............
Take care

Oh, Irish--so sorry that Chris is having to go through all of this! Know it's so difficult for all of you to see him so ill. HUGS and prayers!

Good afternnon,
Irish - my "somethings amiss meter" has been going off - prayers and lots of hugs for you and Chris.
Mary - love that Drew waited and then passed on the beer! Sounds like a wonderful kid, but how could he not be with a great grandma in his life!
Becca - hope that DH's sweet tooth comes back - always need something sweet.
Chickie - Sarah gets these bees in her bonnet and somehow I get drug in - but we have lots of fun. Love your cows!
Dinner - we may starve - not - it is activity day girls so dinner will be chicken from Popeyes - it just opened up here in Herriman, my downfall!
The game will be on shortly, GO GIANTS!,
Enjoy,
Jana

That is a sweet story about the Birthday Party. Hope he doesn't even acquire a taste. LOL
Cheerios?? I prefer Honey-Nut, but Regular is good too. All the other flavors, not so much.
As for Dinner tonight or Supper for that matter?? Well it is a "left-overs" night and I do not dare mention the four letter word, as someone here does not like to even read about it. So I will just substitute the "mac n cheese" and you shall all know what main dish will adorn my table tonight.LOL
Hugs and wonderful evening to you all.
