SUPPER CLUB - Sun, Oct 12th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Oct 12, 2014 3:42 am

Happy Sunday!!

ABITA - try to keep it warm down there for us. We'll be on our way in another month.

JANA - you really had a chore with your freezer yesterday. Well, you know, 'Frozen' is really popular right now. (sorry - couldn't resist)

IRISH - hoping for good reports on "our" boy.

CHICKIE - did you try out the new pole? I wonder if there are more granddaddy fish in your pond . . .

BECCA - hope you have a nice day, no errands, no yard work, just relaxing/sewing.

We're doing Christmas here - shopping, wrapping, packing packages. Our family is celebrating Oct 25th. So there will be more wrapping and laundry during the Seahawks game this afternoon. And supper will be leftover chili. It turned out a little bit spicier than I'd like. and all I used for heat - in a crockpot full of chili - is one can of Rotel diced tomatoes. Those tomatoes have got some kick to them! Whooeee!

Do you have a plan yet for your Sunday dinner?

Good morning,

My freezer is not the only thing Frozen around here! I have snow falling, here in the valley!

Any canned chili, or fresh, only gets hotter as it sits.

Dinner is ? I have leftover taco meat for more nachos or turn it into tacos for a crowd - adding a can or two of refried beans easy stretch. We will see... the game starts at 6 pm, my time

Enjoy!

Good morning! I didn't get a chance to try out the new pole when I got home. I swept the floors and then took a bucket of apples and pears out to the cows. It is the best entertainment ever! I had a big crowd of open mouths and big tongues at the gate. Two of the "little" calves even came and had me feeding them. There was a lot of pushing and shoving--so funny!

I'm not sure what my agenda holds today. I need to clean up the brunch mess first.

Tonight will be ravioli and meatballs. Haven't decided if I'll make DH happy with an Alfredo sauce or make me happy with marinara sauce that I made. Since I'm the cook, I will probably do marinara, but I might make a cup of Alfredo... I have broccoli and a salad to go with it. I need to use some of these apples and make a crisp.

Jana--that's a 4-letter word this time of year!!! Enjoy the game! I'm rooting for a Royals-Giants World Series... it wouldn't matter who wins then! It would be neat if the Royals would take it, however, since the Giants have been there more.
