Prayers for my loved ones
Hi Girls,
Its been a roller coaster here last week and starting this week. My 2 year old DGD Ellabelle is in a cast from her waist down because she was chasing a cat at the babysitter a couple of weeks ago and fell and broke her femur bone in the left left. So she is healing nicely and will only be in her cast for a few more weeks.
Then my great niece Elizabeth had an extra toe removed from her left foot and she has a cast on her left leg. But she is up and running around and not letting that cast hold her down. She is about 15 months old. She is doing very well.
then last Friday my 12 year old great nephew was riding a bike and showing off for the little girl down the street and was not paying attention and ran out in front of a truck and was struck. The truck drug him about 50 to 60 feet. When the EMS got there he called for a helicopter and was going to air care him to UK but because of storms in the area of Lexington they instead took him to UT in Knoxville, Tennessee. He has a broken leg, broken collar bone and a horrible case of road rash. He had to have surgery on his leg to put rods in it and he is doing just fine. He may get to go home today.
Last week a very good friend Chad passed away and his layout was Friday night and funeral was Saturday. My DGD's said it was like losing a grandfather to them. He was a very kind, loving, and wonderful man. He ran a milk hauling company and my husband rents his garage space from him. He was 76 years old.
The day after he passed away my cousin passed away from double pneumonia. Joe had beaten cancer and was doing good until he got the pneumonia. His funeral was this morning in Richmond Indiana.
Needless to say it seems like we have had a lot going on but we made it through with the help of the Lord. I know he doesn't give us more than we can handle but I think at this point, my basket is full and not sure if I could stand any more.
But I have a lot to be thankful for. My DGD is mending well, my niece is going strong, and Luke will be just fine. Can't ask for more than that.
Thanks for listening.
Vivian

Viv, OMG, what a list of challenges you've faced with your family, while being sick yourself! And yet you still keep cranking out your blocks. You are a special lady. Prayers for all in your family.
