Supper club, October 4th, Sat....
My oh my, no one at the table yet....
Right now, looking out my window and seeing the rain and gloomy skies, I was thinking of Mary and Bill on that beach...Have any of you googled it, it's absolutely gorgeous......
Other than uglies and football games, not much happening in this neck of the woods....The games start at noon and continue until well after our bedtime AND then start again at 1:00 tomorrow...But, THE game, for all you Irish fans, is on at 3:30....
With the chilly weather we're having, I put on a pot of chili....I have bread raising and fixins for a salad and if I get around to it, might bake some banana/nut breat......
So what's heating up your kitchen today......

I'm on my way for the banana nut bread! Yum!!
I did look up where Mary & Bill are. I think we visited that area many years ago in our truck/camper. There was a big kite thing going on.
No cooking here tonight. Going to oldest DB's for what should be a party for a proposal. Won't know if the nephew's girl friend had said 'yes' until we get there. Guess he's proposing sometime today. I think she thinks the dinner party is a going away party for him. Nephew's job is sending him to Virginia for 2 months. Food is always good at DB's place. DSIL is good at putting on a party.

Irish!!!!! The Irish WON!!! Wow...we just got to see the last half hour, but it was amazing.
We ate at the Feedmill...sizzler steaks (basically a huge cube steak)..and they are really good!!! To celebrate our 18th Anniversary tomorrow. Seems like no time at all.
We brought home pumpkin pie for dessert later...they make all their own pies.

Hello everyone,
LYN Hope you enjoy your party.Food sounds yummy.
IRISH Your chili sounds perfect for our weather.DH did not want it.I planned to make it but he isn't up to eating regular yet.Hopefully soon.
After the festival this morn. I watched games while DH slept.
We had leftovers for DH & I made me some roasted red peppers & onions with stir-fri chicken. And green beans.DH had pound cake I bought at bake sale at Church.
Have a great day...Becca

We had soup and sandwiches this evening. DH was hungry after he cut wood, and I helped unload and stack it. I was hungry after fighting my way around W-M and all the visiting earlier in the day. Soup and grilled cheese on sourdough was quick. DH had apple crisp that I made yesterday for afters.
Lyn--it will be fun to hear how the party went!
Irish--congrats on the Irish! I saw where the KC Royals won again. It would be super if they could keep it up and meet the Giants. I'd have a hard time picking who to root for and would be happy with either outcome.
