Good Morning!

In a bit of a scurry this morning. Still have to hop in the shower and then meet my DB and SIL for breakfast at 0800. So this will be short and sweet - or maybe savory. ;o)

It's supposed to be our very last summery day of the year - 84*. And we'll be spending the afternoon inside watching the Seahawks trounce the Broncos on the big screen. we can watch our small TV outside on the deck but DH says big screens were meant for football. Guess it's a great time to do laundry as the machines are 8 feet from our chairs!

Supper tonite will be a creamy chicken veggie chowder. in other words, leftovers from the other day, hacked smaller, with a can cream of chicken soup added. My recipes are simple. lol!

What simple thing are you dining on tonite?

Good afternoon from a warm, rainy, SW. Pa...We've had sun, then buckets of rain and then sun and now more rain...Oh boy, that grass is green......

Mary, you really are creative with your leftovers....You remind me of Kevin's wife, Cindy....She can take a left over piece of wood and turn it into a tender, juicy something.....And this is the gal who's mother didn't allow her in the kitchen and now she is a wiz....

Well, our dinner is leftovers from breakfast but it's not breakfast food....We normally get a huge breakfast type meal and split it but lately Jim has been into pancakes...So, the new thing on the menu was a slider, with soup and a salad and with our card, a free appetizer.....So, I ate soup, a couple bites of salad and brought the rest home...AND for afters, I had gotten Amish donuts...We've had signs along the highway saying, coming soon, Amish donuts...Well, sure enough, yesterday there was a big tent set up and there must have been a dozen or so Amish making 6 different donuts... These are the biggest donuts you've ever seen and boy are they good....I'm hoping they decide to come back to the area every once in awhile.....

Happy eating.............
