SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Sept 19th

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Sep 18, 2014 3:54 pm

I'm writing this Thursday night so I don't screw it up on Fri morning! Smart!! I just have to remember to POST it Fri morning! lol!

On the spur of the moment yesterday I ran off with my neighbor to play in the thrift shops and fabric stores. Let me just say a good time was had by all! Talk about bargains!

IRISH - I really love Pizza Hut but the one closest to us burned down. I haven't had it in years. Is it still as good as it used to be?

JANA - PNW treat my blue eye!! Once DH and I went to a supper put on at a conference and it was in the Monterey Acquarium with tables set around all the fish tanks and they had the audacity to serve that PNW treat. I thought that was just rude with all the fish there watching us!

TINA - you, too??? What is this, a revolt??

CINDY - I could swing either way - spaghetti or CB's chix & dumplings. Yum!

BECCA - so nice of you to share some cozy food with your friend during this time.

It was great to come home after shopping and playing all day and walk in and smell our chicken supper waiting for us in the crock pot. And it was tasty. And it will be tasty again tomorrow night! After that, any leftovers will be soup.

That's it for now! Over and out!
upend the pot; dump the fish out!

Mary, sounds like you had fun fun! I have been in either 2 or 3 times to my LQS and every time I go she's closed ugh, she's a bus driver and her mom is not in good health so she just puts the sign up "gone on Bus run" or "out to lunch" or "be back in 15 minutes" I wait and wait but she never came back, Oh well I think I'm going to go walk around JoAnn's Saturday and inhale deeply! :o)

If you want to know the truth I had FF at lunch and supper and it was yummy! :o) hehehe

I just have 2 more blocks to do on my Mom and Dads quilt before I can start sewing it together, I'm hoping tomorrow will finish these last 2 off! I'll pick up backing at JoAnns :o)

Talk to you all tomorrow.

I think we'll have pork chops on the grill if it's not raining and a salad.

I got another B&W block made this morning :-) only 1 more to go! I want to get it to my LAer by the 26th so I know I'll get it back in plenty of time to do the binding and label before Christmas :-)

Good morning! My mystery surprise turned into taco soup yesterday. There wasn't much meat on the bones, so I picked it off and gave the dogs some special treats. We will be having more taco soup tonight, and I promised DH I would make an apple pie.

I should get my new laptop next week. This is so slow on my phone or KINDLE.

Good morning,

Chickie - it is so slow to do the one finger typing on my tablet - being a old secretary - give me a keyboard! Glad you are getting a new laptop.

Tina - you are so on the ball to get things done way before Christmas. I am just now thinking about it!

Mary - love that aquarium! I love banned food, just as long as it is not the type that could hold on to the plate! I am not into sushi either!

On that note - dinner tonight will have fresh made cornbread with "mac and cheese" chowder.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good early afternoon from warm, sunny, gorgeous, purrrrfect, Sw. Pa...Now this is the way the weather should be, all year round....Makes a person want to do something productive (well almost)..... Do have sheets on the line and have done some windows but that's it.....

Mary, I could just picture you sitting there surrounded by fish and them all thinking, she's eating a relative...I love to visit thrift shops especially in Florida, they have so many...Normally, I'll take an extra suitcase with me, just to bring home my goodies.....And Pizza Hut is still the best, at least for us...We have pizza shops almost on every corner but we still go to Pizza Hut, which is just a mile away...Now, I order on line and tell them when I want it and that nice fellow that lives in this house, goes and picks it up....
Mary, so funny, upend the pot!

Becca, you really are a good friend...The type a person needs in times like that....You are special....

Cindyg, I also love those chicken and dumplings but it's been awhile since we've been to CB...You're giving me idea for our next outing....

And for our dinner, pizza, what else...We got a large and there's enough left over for 2 more meals...Pizza is always better the next day..........

Happy eating............

Last night was Smoked Sausage (my old standby!), mac and cheese (the real stuff cause we don't eat the banned food in this house! lol!)...tonight it is beef roast and potatoes in the crockpot..been cooking since 9a.m....and smells heavenly!

The weather is awesome! Irish is right...perfect!!!

Oh, glad to see the whiner get eliminated on Dancing with the STars the other night!!

Joanne
