Supper club, August 21st, Thursday..........

Post by Irishgram » Thu Aug 21, 2014 7:02 am

WELL! Here it is afternoon, where is everyone????

I'm really just passing through on my way to the sewing room but thought I'd better see what everyone is eating today....You guys are eating, aren't you?

My menus have been so mixed up this week..The burgers that were to be the other night ended up on the grill last night....I had gone to lunch with a neighbor (Chinese again) and that was a quick dinner for Jim.....
Now tonight, he's in for such a treat, lol....I'm making a fake crab meat patty...Made with zucchini and seasonings but without the crab meat (should make you happy, Mary).....Not sure what else will find it's way to the table but that's a start......Found a loaf of banana/nut bread in the freezer so no baking again today........

So what are you all conjuring up for your table???

Happy eating..................

I'm here! I had an early appointment this morning and just got back. I'm off to Costco and regular grocery store in a few minutes though. Tonite, we're having burgers. I could even make them chili burgers if DH wants - I have a ziplock of homemade chili in the freezer. But you never know - we might find something taste and fresh at the store.

Got to run! Irish, so glad you didn't have to eat that crab. We don't want you crabby!!

Carol--traveling is fun, but coming home is best! Sometimes you have to get very creative with your fabric acquisitions. I like the "winning" FQs.

Irish--my "forbidden" croquettes were yummy last night. I should try your veggie ones.

Mary--something from burger is on tonight's menu here as well. I have a croquette left, and I'll eat it. I can only do it for DH one night before he strikes for beef.

PS I had a zucchini and didn't want to make zucchini bread since DH is trying to lose weight, so I made Parmesan zucchini crisps. They were delicious. DH thought I was making pizza from the smell while baking. He was surprised, and actually he liked the crisps.

I managed to set the smoke alarms off when I took them from the oven. Well, they hadn't been checked since the last time I set them off cooking...
