Good morning!

We've had solid hard rain for almost 12 hours straight now. It's wonderful!! What a change from Monday's 96*!

I finished my kitchen. Whew! All the cupboards and drawers are cleaned and relined. All the woodwork has been washed and polished. I got the walls washed, too. It positively gleams in there now! BECCA, this would be a winter project except that we are getting ready to paint and refloor the entire upper story of our house. So I'll be moving on to other walls today - like the living room. Seems prudent to do any wall washing or painting prior to carpeting or laying new wood floors. So that's what's going on at my house! Feel free to drop by anytime. No need to dress up. Your painting clothes will do just fine!

Now on to food! I think a ham/potato/cheese dish in the crockpot will go nicely for tonite. I just happen to have everything on hand. Or I might sub kielbasa sausage for the ham. I have both in the freezer. Those kielbasa's are so versitile and we can usually get 3 meals out of one ring of sausage for the two of us.

Good Evening All......a dull and breezy day today.....

missed here yesterday.....it was my Aber day....which I am pleased to report was uneventful.....just shopping and a spot of lunch at my favourite watering hole......however...........

My DD Cindys B and Sil have got problems with their DD......she has 5 children....3 by her first DH who is her fathers age.....and 2 by a boyfriend......recently social services stepped in....she is an alcoholic.....children are now with her parents.....she has done a runner with yet another boyfriend.....the 3 elder kids.....13..11 and 10 are feral kids....the 2 younger.....4 and 2 are going the same way....the parents have been told the 4 and 2 yo can be adopted but their father....who has mental problems.....wants them......parents have said no....now here is the sting in the tale..... parents have just found out....the DD has emptied their savings account and made off with over £70 thousand...($140 thousand).....we are still trying to come to terms with this....BIL who is 61....has heart problems and was about to take early retirement now has to continue working.......waiting to hear if the police have managed to trace her....

certainly puts your own little probs in prospective........

Maryz......I have a full months work awaiting your arrival.....I do try but always get waylaid into doing something else......like retail therepy.....or dare I say....sewing.....

super is McD big mac just so it can shoot out faster than I take it in LOL but its church night so no cooking. DD eats with youth and DH and I grab a bite on way home:)
