The rain has stopped! Yay! Though yesterday was just intermittant showers. We'll be sunny and 80* by Tuesday.
IRISH, I'm sorry, but our rain usually moves east. Don't put your umbrella away yet!
Today is our family BBQ. Everyone is bringing something so I'm not sure what all we'll have. Lara is doing potato salad and vegetarian burgers. Emily is bringing a salad of some sort. We're serving brats, cake and ice cream, and chips/dip. We were looking for corn on the cob but it didn't look good in the store and at 68 cents and ear, we weren't buying it.
Gotta go frost the cake. Trying to make it look like a chef's hat. Wish me luck!

Good afternoon from sunny, warm, SW. Pa....It did look like rain earlier but it's warmed up and the sun is brilliant...AWWWW summer!
Mary, I wish I was still out west..For sure, I'd find a way to your house today....Family picnics are the best...I'm hoping when all of the N.Carolina family finally get here, we can get everyone together...Of course, Kathy will just have to imagine/pretend....She is to come this way in the Fall so maybe we can do something then...I'd love to have some sort of reception so we'll see....
I'm not planning anything for our dinner...Jim has a funny tummy today and probably won't want to eat...He thinks he ate too much for breakfast...So, later we'll probably have some soup and crackers.....

Good late evening All......didn't think I would make it but.....hey ho here I am......last couple of days have had some eye problems.....well....actually thought I was going to have a migraine....getting all those flashing lights....and trying to peer through black and silver swirly bits...would clear for couple of hours and then back again....was able to FB my DGD Claire it was our Lillys birthday.....but couldn't really do much and lucky for me the headache didn't materialise.....but still feel yak.....but eyes are fine now......(fingers crossed)
So you have probably gathered I haven't done a lot of anything.....but did have a couple of Audio Books.....nearly cleaned the Library out of them....will have to start to trawl the Charity shops now.....
For todays menu....Chicken in the Slow Cooker.....Potatoes Carrots and Broad Beans.....and Ice Cream for afters
