SUPPER CLUB - Fri, June 27th
Good Morning!
JOANNE - we have a restaurant here names Spiro's! It's an Italian/pizza place, but it's low quality and has no parking, so we're not frequent customers of theirs.
LADY CAROL - I did most of my chevrons in two 15-min sessions a day - morning and afternoon. Most days. I was afraid if I set it aside completely it would just become a UFO and never be done. I didn't work on just on unit until they were all done and then move on to the next unit the way she does in her directions. I would have been crazy! I worked on all the units of both blocks, but kept all the pieces apart and organized on cookie sheets.
BECCA - there are about 100 3" chevrons in each quilt - and each one has 6 little pieces. Arrggghhhhh. . . . . I agree with you about the yard. I hate a jungle yard. But since I llve in the middle of woods, I have let some things go back to nature and call it 'woodsy' rather than 'jungly'.
IRISH - oh, a stop at the library! My second favorite place to be! (we all know what our first fave is!)
now for tonite's supper menu: We have a bit of pasta left - enough to use as a side dish. So we'll grill some chipotle flavored chicken breasts from Costco and add a veggie yet to be named. I don't have salad fixings so it won't be that. But I do have parsnips, carrots, peppers, a turnip, and onions. Perhaps a mixed veggie saute . . . .

Good morning,
I like woodsy! But not over-grown. My yard has parts that are just that. But alas, my gardener is off and busy else where.
Tonight Ethan willbe here, spending the night. He will eat anything Grandma cooks, as long as there is "meat". He is our little carnivore. I have chicken, salad fixins, and cookies for afters.
Becca - glad to read your bikers are in Co., so long uphill climbs, but on the othrrside it is downhill! LOL Won't be long and they will be done.
Enjoy,
Jana

Good morning from sunny, warm, SW. Pa....If I can't be in Reno, today is purrrrfect in Pa...
Mary, I do love the Library. We have a new one and I could spend hours...BUT, would you believe, they had nothing on the Donner Pass or the Donner family...I couldn't believe it!
I took a look at our garden and wanted to run and hide..That's one thing Jim "kind of forgot" and so far, it's taken most of the morning to get 1/2 way through it...But, I'll get her done! Along with laundry on the line, we've been busy....
The left over meat loaf that was supposed to be for last night will make it to the table tonight...Last night was purrrrfect for burgers on the grill...And for afters, fresh strawberry shortcake....Life it good!
Happy eating..............

Late today.Yard work again & get busy & forget.
Oh on letting it retun to Nature we are surrounded by woods on 3 sides but I keep it mowed back from the House & trimmed. We have lots of nature including turkeys & deer & have seen bear & bobcat & coyote.
At edge of woods.
Speaking of the Library I go once a week.Must have books.
Today I made black beans over rice with chopped onions & peppers.
DH had his s'mores....Becca
JANA I am amazed at Marks progress. He hopes to finish end of July, then they plan on spending a month coming back across.
