Good Evening All......lovely sunny day here....BUT...is everyone on a diet.....the table looks very lonely......must admit stuff keeps getting in my way lately......

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK.....(nicked this one from Face Book)

WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES.....YOU"LL END UP IN A QUILT SHOP.......

have been having yet another go on my CS quilt......I hate chevrons.....have done many "extras"....... have a feeling there will be many more in my future.....will have to get Maryz to part with some of her "will power and get up and go" and then....maybe.....just maybe.......
A bit earlier this afternoon......we had quite a downpour.....but the sun soon came through again......it has done a bit of good to the plants and flowers.....the Sweet Peas are flowering their little socks off.......have had 4 cuttings so far.....and still loads more coming along......looks like we are going to have lots of apples too.....the trees look loaded with the tiny fruits......

for todays menu......Ham and Cold Pork Salad with tiny New Potatoes(from the garden)and Bread and Butter Pudding for afters......

Good evening Carol and anyone else today,

We will all be so skinny when Mary gets back! LOL

I - that is my family - haven't missed any meals around here - Sarah came with Ethan yesterday - Ethan had a bag of chocolate chips - asked will Grandma make me cookies - put up to it by his mom! LOL Of course I did - sent most of them home too - the the other grands showed up and ate what I had saved - oh well - need to make more!

My French Onion Soup Meatball recipe I found needs some tweaking - then it will be good - not enough sauce to sop up with bread - that will be fixed!

Tonight, it is beautiful outside on the deck - so the BBQ will get fired up and grill some ribeye steaks I picked up the other day. Bright and sunny and the temps are in the high 80's - not bad at all - no humidity. Something green will appear as well and I have ice cream sandwiches in the freezer - hidden from the little boys!

Enjoy,
Jana
