SUPPER CLUB - Sun, June 8
Happy Sunday!
A nice day this morning, chirpy birds, but otherwise nice and quiet. I love early morning.
IRISH - did you have a nice day with your sis yesterday? Hope you et!
BECCA - I keep checking my atlas to see where your DGD and her hubby are. Where is their ultimate destination? I know you told me, but I, um, forgot. Did you say Seattle? The ocean?
The pasole/pazole I made last night turned out really great! It was my first time and it was so simple. It's a very versatile soup. I just used the basic recipe I had, but it's going into my fave file.
Now for tonite - new food. I think burgers again. On the grill. While we still have good weather. Rain is moving in later this week.
Hope your supper, and your weather are exactly what you are wishing for.

Good morningm
I have heard that soup is very good - will have to try it.
Very warm day here - good for grilling, but I am going for easy- spinach tortaleni, polksa, and broccoli with swiss cheese sauce -one pot and done!
Enjoy,
Jana

Good early afternoon from overcast, but warm, SW. Pa....I have a feeling Mr. Sun will make an appearance sooner or later.....
Mary, it's always good to have a new fav in the line of food....I get so tired of the same old, I really do need to "step outside my comfort zone" and try new things....
My outing with my sister and her daughter was great...I met them at Kohl's and it was so much fun to help spend their money...I didn't buy a thing but my sister made good use of all her bonus bucks etc. I'm going to look pretty shabby when we go away...Her DD kept texting Kathy and asking if she really wanted the 2 of us to visit...And of course we had to stop for lunch mid way through our excursion....Helping someone spend their money sure wears a person out!
Now as far as dinner, we also are having burgers on the grill...Might even make the carrots and potatoes in foil....I did notice some new cookies in our shopping cart this morning so Jim will have his afters....
Happing eating............

Good evening! lol! We ate at the granddaughter's graduation party...pulled pork and slaw..meat balls and a bunch of stuff to stick in the chocolate fountain...(can you tell the chocolate fountain isn't my favorite??? lol)
Jana, that dinner sounds interesting..I know what spinach is, and broccoli with swiss cheese sauce, but tortaleni and polksa stump me! And all in one pot????
Last night we did the veggies and potatoes in foil on the grill with the BBQ chicken...which we really liked...this grill cooking is wonderful! We always used a charcoal grill before, but this gas thing is really quick and handy!
Rained lightly all day...kind of gloomy. Tomorrow is sunny!
Joanne

Joanne,
Translations: polska kielbasa -polish sausage,
Spinach tortellini - small stuffed italian pasta,
Broccoli - cut into bite size pieces.
I slice up the polska kielbasa, bring a pot of water to the boil, add the polska kielbasa, brocoli and tortellini and cook until everything is tender and done. Drain well and cover with a swiss cheese sauce. I serve with crusty bread on the side. Really easy and my kids love it.
Sorry for the confusion,
Jana
