SUPPER CLUB - Fri, June 6

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Jun 06, 2014 3:21 am

Lara's cataract surgery couldn't have gone better yesterday. It took only 7 minutes and they even let my SIL watch. She called me last night after removing her patch and said she was amazed at how much better she could see. and the girl just got new glasses a month ago!

IRISH - so happy to hear your Chris is slowly, but steadily improving. This has been quite a little set back for him but sounds like he's making progress.

Well, another day, another supper. Our pork chops were so good last night that we're going to do it again tonite. Then tomorrow I'll try to get inventive with any leftover leftovers.

What's the word from YOUR kitchen?

Good morning from sunny, getting warmer, Sw. Pa....Would you believe it was in the 40s over night...Thought the furnace might come on....And don't laugh but when I went to bed, I actually turned on the electric blanket....After the next bed stripping, the blanket will be put away until maybe Sept.....

Mary, glad to hear Lara's surgery was short and with good results...Will she be having the other eye done or was it just the one? Long gone are the days when you had to lay with sand bags beside you head so you wouldn't move....

And for our dinner, guess who asked for Subway last night?? I had to run to the store and Jim said, on the way back, why not stop at Subway....He doesn't have to ask twice....So once again, it's a toss up between those chicken patty sandwiches and salad or popcorn.....

Happy eating............

Oh, Irish...it was 55 here last night...not as cold as you though. It is gorgeous here today....70's and dry...sun shining and my granddaughter came and weeded my flower bed in front of the porch...yeah!!!

I got to watch Earl's cataract surgery, too...I don't like watching stuff like that, but I just tried not to think about who's eye they were cutting on...ugh. It was fast and they did one eye at a time. Amazing.

Tonight I have a chicken breast thawing...Earl want to put it on the grill...and we'll dump some BBQ sauce on it, too...have to think about what else to have...probably a salad.
