Friday!!! It's here!! Though since I've been retired for 12 years, I'm not sure what the big deal is, but I guess it's a leftover from when I used to work. Which I don't get because I had to work weekends anyway! lol!

JOANNE!! Hooray!! You're here! we'll move over and make room for you. Sorry about Earl's prostate issues. You should talk to Cindy G. Don had surgery a month ago. I think he'll go back to work next week. Hope you are doing OK.

CAROL - love your wit! We'll keep your secret. If you tell us what "sarnies" are. Enjoy the show!

We ended up with nachoes yesterday. Not too healthy, but that didn't slow us down much. So tonite we'll have our chops. and as our warm weather is gone, we might bake them along with potatoes, and a mixture of fresh veggies - onions, csrrots, broccoli, etc. Or maybe I'll brown the chops and put them and potatoes into the crockpot with something saucy. . . . Sounds even better.

What's sounding good to you for tonite? And now what are you going to make? (they're not always the same thing!

Good morning from overcast, chilly, SW. Pa...Our summerlike weather has left us and for me, this is winter...It's only going into the 60s today and we all know, that's not warm enough for me...
Jim wanted to know if I wanted to go some where today and I told him, home and in my fuzzy robe would be purrrrfect...

Mary, I normally only worked an occasionally weekend but sure did look forward to Fridays..Of course, now in this house, I (we) never know what day it is...And please don't ask the date!

Joanne, so glad to see you. I've been wondering what's happening in your neck of the woods...Sorry to hear about Earl and hope he's feeling better real quick...

Carol, I think your secret might be safe with us...And I'd also like to know what "sarnies" are....Really, really do love your posts...

Unless we get a sudden heat wave, dinner will be something made in the oven...I made up a meat loaf the other day and stuck it in the freezer which might be brought out today or the "mac n cheese" casserole that Jim loves...But, it will be something to hopefully warm up the "inners".....

Happy eating..............

Good Evening All.....it has been absolutely lovely here today....well...in Malvern too......next county up.....

Had a smashing time at the show.....and silly me....forgot to take photos.....but with my track record for showing photos....who knows when they would have seen the light of day....

Having spent my running away money.....I dented my credit card....got quite a few fat quarters.....couple of rulers....my goodness they haven't half got expensive....I did tell the girl I only wanted to buy the rulers.....not the whole stand.....and 2 Bonnie Hunter books....I have got most of Els books......and another thing.....there were so many people there this time....never seen so many......luckily....because it was so hot.....a lot were outside.....sure the hall would never be hold that many in one go......but I suddenly spotted Susan-Claire.....the Gourmet Quilter from New Zealand.....had to stop and speak to her.....lovely lady and so was Mr Gourmet Quilter.....have you watched her on You Tube? well worth a watch.....

Now about our sarnies....that is just our slang for sandwiches....I did Cheese and Pickle....Ham and Tomato with a few Spinach leaves....and Egg Mayonnaise....some Bakewell Tart and a couple of Bananas.....and a couple of Flasks of Coffee......we finished off the sarnies when we got back home.....SO....NO....COOKING.....lucky lucky....me....

Tommorrow we are off for the week-end to a birthday party bash.....so I wont be back until probably Monday....always assuming Ive still got my head together.......

Carol.....

JOANNE.....lovely to see you back again....do hope your Earl soon feels better.....and that you are coping with your hands....cuddles

Thanks for all the warm "welcome back"s!! The Dr. told Earl today that he could slowly return to "normal" duties...and to come back in 3 months...he's doing very well!

So we celebrated tonight and actually went out to eat at Mama's Grill! He wasn't allowed to even ride in the car since surgery..just in case we were in a wreck. And he drove the three blocks to Pete the Barber's for a hair cut.

We are now in for the night...and it's raining again...and none too warm (about 48 deg.)...Irish was right...feels almost like winter. I love the Spring weather...in the 70's, but rain and 50 is a touch too chilly!
