Well ladies my hope for Paducah is gone

I haven't been on for awhile. Had hoped to go to Paducah this year but it's not happening. I was feeling better. But on New Year my husband woke up sick. We thought he had the flu. So after several days of being sick, we finally convinced him to go to the doctor. The doctor said you have a virus and gave him an antibiotic. The next day he was sicker. So we convinced him to go to the hospital. After five hours he was told he had a urinary tract infection and sent home with a different antibiotic. The next day the hospital called and said he had a staph infection in the blood. After several tests they knew where the infection was but not how he got it. So six days later they sent home with an infusion pump so he could get antibiotics for six weeks. After the six weeks he had another MRI only to learn that some of the infection was still there. So they left him on the antibiotics for two more weeks. He gets the pick out on Wednesday and we had to take him back to the hospital yesterday. He has the same problem he had when we took him the first time. Now they are talking about surgery. So no Paducah for us this year. Gavin and Nicholas is really disappointed. We were all looking forward to seeing Eleanor new show. I had hopes of getting her honeycomb pattern since I have already bought the dies for my accuquilt. Well there is always next year.

Oh Bland I am keeping your husband in my prayers and hope that the Dr's can get him back on the wellness train. I certainly hope you get to Paducah next year. It is still on my bucket list.

Saddened to hear of your husband's stubborn illness and that it will impact your Paducah plans. An infx in the blood is serious business. I do hope they get a handle on it soon!

So sorry to hear of your DH's medical troubles. As the Brooklyn Dodgers always said, "Wait 'til next year," so is your mantra. Best wishes to you and your family! My 11 year old grand-daughter is here sewing with me for spring break. I'm having a ball. I always enjoy seeing your posts with your grandsons.
