SUPPER CLUB - Mon., Jan 13th
Good Morning! I'm still here! In Barstow, CA. This is a dry, dusty little town and I'm sure it's VERY hot in the summer time. The only trees we've seen are in our RV park. But people are friendly.
IRISH - chicken ala king sounds like hoity toity cooking to me! How do you make it?
CAROL - hope your lunch with Cindy and Crew was a lot of fun yesterday. Smart to go in January. It can be a dull month. (unless you get silly and decide to go out traveling in your RV/caravan!)
JANA - maybe if I'd called cottage cheese 'cream' instead of cottage cheese, my kids would eat it today. Sounds much more tempting.
BECCA - I'm feeling so sorry for your hubby. I hope he's feeling better this week.
Tonite will be leftover ziti. It was OK last night, but I put in a bit of thawed shredded zucchini. My RV oven didn't get hot enough and the zucchini tasted just like what it was. One of the few veggies I don't care for so I try to hide it from myself in other foods. (beets being the other one in case I ever show up at your house for supper - which could happen! Couldn't it, Jana!)
Tomorrow night, I think I'll make a crockpot dinner, but still deciding what it will be . . .
have you decided yet?

Good morning!
Drop in anytime for dinner -food period - you will never find beets or brussel sprouts at thiss house! I even have room for the rig - we can steal power from my niece's across the street- she has the bigger circuit outside. Even have some small playmates for Scottie.
Dinner here - humm way too early to think about it.
At least you are stuck in Barstow, not nearly as bad as Needles - it gets hotter than the hinges of he** there.
Enjoy,
Jana

Good Morning girls.Sunny & 40's.Just got home from quilting at Church.
MARYz Your story remined me of our episode we had 24 yrs ago.We were in our 1 month old double cab truck pulling a 32 ft camperOur truck was special ordered. And was loaded with wooden toys which my DH & DS made.We sold them.We were nearing an intersection & our light was green.A drunk driving a pick up towing a trailor load of cabbage run the red light & hit head on & wrapped around our truck.Cabbage came flying thur the windows.Truck totaled, camper damaged. We were shook up & brusied.I could not eat cabbage for 4 years.Glad your story is better than mine.
I plan to sew this afternoon. And will probably make breakfast for dinner.Want to get baby quilt together.DH is sleeping so it is quiet....Becca

Good early afternoon from a very sunny but chilly, SW. Pa....Mother Nature is up to her tricks again today...It's to be in the 50s but you know what will be back in a few days..............
Mary, My neighbor, Donna, makes a zucchini/chili that is to die for but even using the same recipe, mine lacks something...I've tried stuffing them but it "wasn't one of Jim's favorites"...So, my zucchini usually ends up in bread with lots of raisins (which I'm out of).....My chicken ala king is made from the Betty Crocker cook book, one of the older ones...I'll post it in recipes.....
Our dinner tonight, hopefully won't have me cooking...We have an appointment this afternoon to talk to the doc, then Library, Aldi's and hopefully somewhere along the line, even if it's Big Macs from MickyDs, will be dinner....Today I'm not picky.....
Sounds like a fun time at Jana's, I think we should all stop in.....As long as it's not on the day, the 49ers and the Seahawks are playing...That could get messy......
Happy eating.............
