Happy New Year! How many actually stayed up until midnight? In their own time zone? We did it! I never even intended to try for midnight, but we made it. But do admit to a bit of a nod-off somewhere halfway through NCIS.

CAROL, I loved your Quote of the Week yesterday!

Today - I guess it should be pork, right? Well, pork chops and scalloped potatoes sounds good to me. And a salad. Though I do have some cooked, shredded pork in the freezer. Maybe I should resurrect that with some BBQ sauce and have BBQ pork sandwiches. And maybe some jojo's. DH will have to make his choice when he wakes up. Since we're leaving in a week for our winter travels, we need to eat the biggest food first to clean out the freezer - no matter what it is!

Hope you're more certain of where your next meal is coming from than I am! lol!

Today we will take down the tree and get the furniture back where it belongs. For dinner it will be ham and scalloped potatoes, dinner rolls and salad and probably peas and cranberry sauce. Love ham, it is so versatile!

Have a great day!
Carol

Good late afternoon from dreary, rainy, SW. Pa....
I'm one of those that almost made it to midnight, last I looked at the clock, I still had about 3 minutes to go and that was it until I woke at 2:30 and it's all been down hill ever since..But, all will be better in time.........

Mary, how exciting to get back on the road again...I love to hear about your adventures....I did have to laugh at yesterday's comment about Scotties vet appointment next week...Poor little thing!

Jana, it is hard to believe Ethan is 2...These days are flying by much, much too quickly....Will you please give him a big hug from me and of course, please have a nice big piece of cake, for me....

Carol, sorry to hear about the "man flu"...Stay far enough away that you don't catch it..And as Mary said, I too, love your quotes....Your dinner sounds delish.....

As far as our dinner, it will be the left over pork chops and sauerkraut that was in the crock pot from yesterday....I figure it if supposed to be good luck, we'd eat it on the last day and also on the 1st day..........

Happy eating............
