SUPPER CLUB - Sun, Dec 15th

Good Sunday Morning!
The wood saga goes on. You do know I'm a logger's daughter, don't you? I was taught that working with wood is FUN. When we were little we would ASK to be allowed to stack wood! Did I have a smart daddy or what?? Anyway, we have two woodsheds, facing each other so we can drive a pickup in between for easy unloading. Each woodshed has two sections. Each section holds 2 cords when filled. We only had one empty section for the new wood - and that's now full. So now I have to empty one half-filled section of dry wood into another section, also half full. But I wanted to take all I could into our wood box area in the garage first to avoid handling it twice. Which meant, thanks to DH's less than impressive garage-keeping, I had to clean the garage first to make way for the tractor to get in there because I'm hauling wood in the bucket. (9 bucket loads) The chores just seemed to snowball yesterday! We are kind of up against it here, timewise, because my sis is arriving from CO on Dec 18th. We'd like this to be finished before then. And we want to return my brother's log-splitter before he leaves on Dec 20th for Las Vegas for Christmas with their DD.
So, no, no Blue Ox here, but we're starting to call Scottie "Babe"! lol!!
Now on to supper. I have a little pork roast that I think I'll pop into the oven and we'll add mashed potatoes and asparagus. A simple, but kind of nice supper.
Bon Appetit`!
