Good Morning, my fellow cookers and eaters! Another busy day here. But not so full (yes) as the last few days have been. DH will pick up the wood splitter this morning from my DB while I start making room in the woodshed. "Someone" whose shall remain nameless, but whose initials begin with Bill, tossed a bunch of junk into the area of the shed where we need to stack our wood. Then this afternoon he's giving a Q-bot class to a person he met in his Q-bot quilting forum. So maybe I will have time to start my koi wallhanging! Yay!

CAROL - I will also be out in our RV today, too, making sure it's all ready for my sis and BIL to stay in through Christmas. Your next trip coming up sounds like a nice break. And I think that machine you asked about in the Sew-in sounds like a good deal. But remember, I know nothing about it. I just know that Featherweight Singers go for about $350 to $600. A treadle machine in a nice rosewood cabinet for $295 seems do-able to me!

IRISH - You have me laughing out loud! Attacked by pizza and strangled by quilt binding! you live on the edge, girl!

BECCA - you poor thing! Wish we could all come visit and bring you some chicken soup. They say it really DOES have healing properties in it. I hope your new antibiotics do the trick. We could use another hand out in the woodshed . . . .

I'm at a loss for dinner tonite. We've been subsisting on leftovers, canned soup, grilled cheese, and poached eggs all through the week. Maybe tonite will be pesto pasta. That's so quick and easy. I've got big cooking days coming up soon, and I'd rather save my inspiration and "fascinating menus" until then. (just so you know, I couldn't keep a straight face when I typed that.)

Hope everyone is eating well. I'll shut up now and let someone else type!

Good afternoon from very, very cold, but sunny, Sw. Pa....Enough is enough!Mother nature got the sun part right, let's work on the temps.....

Mary, you do amaze me with all the physical work you do...It's your fault, I have to take so many "rests".....

Jim left to help with the bingo...He was hoping they would cancel but you know those "bingo gals", they don't cancel! Our doctor called yesterday and said the insurance denied the brain scan so now, he's ordering an MRI and of course that has Jim worried...Boy, I'll tell you, getting old sometimes isn't fun......But, we'll muddle through....

Now as far as dinner....The pizza is gone so it might be the left over stuffed cabbage....The chocolate chip cookies and the banana/nut bread are also gone so that might mean "fire up the oven".....I have a good recipe for apple/walnut bars I just might try...........

Happy eating.................

Good Evening All.....still cold.....no heatwave lurking around the corner.....

Mary....I am going to have that Treadle machine....even if I cant sew on it.....I could never treadle in school.....don't think co-ordination has improved over the last 60 years.....but its in a lovely Rosewood cabinet....drawers both sides and little doors that hides the treadle....needs a good looking at.....but that's a job that will keep Sir happy....at the moment its in Sirs workshop....we brought it home with us from our caravan week-end and just waiting to hear from our friend if the price he quoted to us is ok with his family......I checked the serial number and its 1916.....

Becca....you have certainly been through the wars with that infection....really do hope the steroids help you....much as I hate taking them.....they certainly helped to clear up that infection for me......

Irish...with all this talk of choccy chip bickies....banana bread....apple/walnut bars......I may just have to send Sir over for his afters.......

Menu here today.....nothing exciting.....Egg and Chips and Tomatoes.....Bread and butter Pudding.....in the slow-cooker....for afters
