SUPPER CLUB - Thanksgiving Day - Nov 28

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Nov 28, 2013 7:24 am

I suppose it's sill to ask what y'all are having for dinner today! lol! But I actually don't know what we're having. My grandson is cooking and he doesn't communicate well other than to tell me "Mom says she wants you to bring pumpkin cheesecake and I want you to bring rolls." so while I suspect it will be turkey, I may be surprised!

We took Scottie for a walk at the dog park this morning - which is several acres of woods, fenced, with wooded trails criss-crossing it. and one big open area where dogs can really play, chase frisbees, or whatever. But this morning it was all full-grown labs and goldens. And Scottie got overwhelmed and after his third time getting rolled by the big dogs, we cut our visit there short. But he'll have the grandboys to play with this afternoon so he won't suffer for lack of playtime.

Hope everyone has a blessed day, remembered all the gifts we've been given in life. And if one of those gifts is to spend it with people you love, so much the better! (and best of all if those people you love cook for you! lol!)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Thanksgiving from cold, Sw. Pa.. But, it's warm inside and that's all the counts....

Mary, I had the best of both worlds today, I cooked for those I care about and was cooked by someone who really cares for others.....

We've had a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving....We had Kathy's 3 here for breakfast/brunch and it was a great visit....Then we went to Kevin's and as always, Cindy put out a spread that couldn't be beat by the finest....She really is something....So, now we're back home, bellies full and will have a heck of a time staying awake until the Steeler game.....

It's a good feeling, knowing that pumpkin pie is not too far away and can have a piece (whenever the tummy settles down a bit).......

Good Morning from a rainy Southern California Coast! I am so happy it is raining!!! We have no leftovers except pie. At least I know what dessert will be!! LOL I need to get some chicken and cook a healthy meal tonight. We will be going to the gym for some good exercise too.

My hairdryer stopped working yesterday so I think I will be making a trip to Target. It will not be a shopping trip for gifts though.

Have a great day!
Carol
