SUPPER CLUB - Thurs, Nov 21
Brrrr.... 29 deg this morning and it will probably go another degree or two colder come daylight. I love it though! Good thing because Scottie isn't going to let me off our morning walk! He loves it just too much! He starts nagging me about it 2 hours before it's time to go. Every single morning.
Can't believe some of you have never listened to an audio book. Since DH got an i-pad, I download from the library, but I also go and get them in person, too. Some are CD's (they finally ditched all the cassette stories) and some are 'play-aways' which you plug buds into, tuck the little gadget into pocket or bra, and go about whatever you want to do. I love reading as much as I love quilting, but there's never enough time to read. So this is how I 'read' most of my books. I'm listening to a Christmas mystery right now.
BECCA - Cover the presents with dirty laundry and no one will even get close enough to peek!
JANA - I really would love to see a photo of the wreaths you are doing. Is it El's log cabin wreath? I have a wreath pattern, too, that I used for the center of DD's Christmas quilt. But we can never have too many patterns!
Now on to supper - hmmmmm . . . . I think salisbury steak (fancy name for hamburger pattie at our house ;<) ), baked sweet potatoes, and salad. it could change, but for right now, that's the plan.
and the plan is 3/4 of the battle, right?

Good morning!
Mary - yes it is the El Wreath pattern done with log cabin blocks - she uses smaller strips so the blocks are not to big.
Dorothy - glad the you enjoyed show. Now I hope that you won't feel too bad if BYU wins this week-end.
Dinner tonight is out over at the Assisted Living home with FIL - the place does a Thanksgiving Dinner for all the family members before Thanksgiving - so we are eating there.
Enjoy
Jana

Good afternoon from cold, dreary, looking like rain, SW. Pa...I guess I shouldn't complain yet, it's supposed to get really cold this weekend.......I'm figuring about 8 weeks until Florida and that can't come soon enough!
Mary, I'm so glad my furbabies don't want to go for walks, they'd have to do it on their own in this weather..These inside babies are quite content to curl up by the vent or under the electric blanket..I think I've taught them well....
Jana, you are so funny but your wish might just happen...But after watching that show, doesn't it make them sound unstoppable??? (I can hope) But, I really did enjoy the show and put it in my favorites.....
After all our running yesterday, we did stop and bring home and we ended up with real Mac n cheese and (whispering) fake "mac n cheese" sandwiches......So tonight I'm cooking....I have thawed chicken breasts and not sure just what to make....Maybe a pot pie, maybe chicken ala king...Hopefully something will materialize in time for dinner.......
Happy eating.................

Hello everyone.Cool drizzley day.One you want to curl up with a book.
My Pebbles(Lab) never wanted to miss her walk. She would come to Kitchen window & sit & wait wagging her tail.I still miss her..
We got our new tires on,banking done ,errands,& library.Covered a lot of ground. Now I hope to sew.
It was Subway of course.I normally do not eat it but was lazy today.
JANA Your Ethan sounds like a cutie .Know he keeps you on your toes.Enjoy Your Dinner with FIL.......Becca
