SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Nov 16th
We had another, smaller, wind "event" last night, with rain beating down. The tree didn't all! Our insurance company mailed the tree owners a letter and suggested we file a formal complaint against them with the county. It won't help us, but if they try to sell the property, it will be on the record and an issue they will have to deal with first. And we have a lawyer who will also write a letter when he gets back from vacation next week. The irony is I love the tree. It's the only shade our house really gets now. But it's gotten to be scary shade.
So the doll clothes you girls are making - are they American Girl type, baby doll?, Barbie? I remember the last doll I ever had was a 3-ft tall walking doll. She was almost as big as I was! Even now I'm not quite 5-ft tall so I guess she's STILL be almost as tall as I am! lol!! She only ever had the dress she rode in on. I never thought of having a change of clothes for her. I was too busy walking her!
our supper last night of meatballs in mushroom gravy over hot noodles was good. and now tonight we are having my son and DDIL, Mike & Emily, for dinner to celebrate her birthday. And she's requested very nearly the same dish! My pesto pasta. We'll also have a big green salad, parmesan bread, and peanut butter cake & ice cream for dessert.
I sent Emily a card and a check already but for a gift I got her a wall-hanging pattern of a little dog in the snow. She LOVES dogs and loves snow. Then I made her a kit out of my own stash so she should have everything to make it, including fusible web, batting, and binding.
Bon appetit`!

Good Morning MARYz.Foggy & drizzle here.A day to stay inside.
I tried sewing this morn & the interuptions were many but I still got all but 2 strips put together.Hope to finish this afternoon
MARYz Hope Emily had a good BDay.You treated her well.
My dolls are all knitted & the clothes are knitted separate. The undies I sewed. One I sewed her blouse.Did sew all the DGD's aprons.I am like CAROL.It is a true labor of love. And I did sew all their doll quilts & hand quilted some.
Plan to make grilled chicken Breast over bed of rice with snow peas.

Good early afternoon from sunny, warm, SW. Pa...I think Mother Nature is in a teasing mood and we love it.....
What a day so far...Jim has been outside, on the roof, up in the shed and now he's cleaning off the back porch....He is a busy fellow....I've probably told you about the new furbaby that has decided to join the "cat house"...I had been talking to a gal that volunteers with a cat place and she stopped up and told me, they would take care of his neutering, shots, and make sure he's healthy, along with taking care of his bad leg...Can you believe this? They only ask that we take him to have this done and bring him home... I couldn't thank her enough, big weight lifted off our shoulders....I want so badly to start volunteering with this group but I'm afraid I'll get too involved and end up with a house full.....
And now onto dinner....There is a chance we might have a visit from a grandson so that might mean pizza...Hey, even if he doesn't come, it might be pizza.......
Happy eating.............

Good afternoon!
Dorothy - my aunt had many furbabies that she took care of - they always seemed to find her house! I loved going there as a child to sit outside and play with them all!
Becca - I did doll clothes and a doll for Sarah when she was 5 - long time ago! Loved sewing them for her - I have a wonderful pattern - it is out of print - named Cassie - the doll has yarn for hair - 3 skeins of baby yarn and you comb into place! I am making one of these for my little grand daughter Emma this Christmas - more to sit on the dresser in her new room - when she is a little bigger I will make her one that she can play with. She is the only little girl that I have so far.
Maryz - I so agree with all the advice you have with that tree - sad too - I know how much shading a house is so nice!
Dinner - I have been stalling - lol - we still have leftovers and I think that will grace the table tonight - I have a pot roast that I will thaw and cook in the Crockpot for tomorrow's dinner - so I am ahead of myself for once!
Enjoy!

It's gloomy and cloudy but warmish...but look out tomorrow! A big storm coming...straight line winds and possible tornado weather, too. So Irish...you may need to "batten down the hatches"!
We were going to eat leftovers from last night...green beans, ham and potatoes..but then Earl decided that we will go to Mama's and save the cooking for tomorrow. Sounds good to me!
Earl has had some issues with his bladder this week and Friday had some outpatient surgery, so he is taking it easy until Monday. I'm plugging away on two Deli purses in black and white. I just love that pattern! I think it's by Penny Sturges. My right shoulder is bad right now, but I just work a few minutes at a time and I can get it done!
Carol, I think I missed something...why did you need the frozen peas??
Joanne
I used to knit years ago...made a ton of neck scarfs for everyone in the world! "knit and purl"...that was it! lol! Doll clothes...wow!
