SUPPER CLUB - Fri, Nov 8th

Another windy day here! Though I think it will calm down later.
JANA - we did take the arborist's report to the city. In fact, the city's arborist came and looked at it in addition to the one we paid. And yes, we can (and have) cut a few limbs that hang over our property, but we'll have to bring in a cherry picker to get any more. But they are a drop in the bucket. This tree is probably 150 years old and it would take 3 men spanning arms to be able to encircle the trunk. And it is leaning towards our house. It is HUGE! And there really is no where else to sleep in our house. We just have our bed. Our trailer is so close to the house that it would be even less protection. I had a thought to call our local news station Problem Solvers folks. Those people get results! The owner doesn't live next door- it's a rental. The owner can only be reached by a P.O. box address. A giant limb (15" across the butt end) came down on us in an ice storm some years ago. Destroyed that part of our yard and took off some roof shingles. the guy never even asked if we were OK. Ignored it completely. We did all the clean up ourselves. and let's not even talk leaves! That's a whole 'nother issue! Oh, and did I mention that this tree has a twin? It's 6 feet behind it, also dying, and also leaning towards us.
IRISH - I do put ham in my split pea soup if I have it. Usually I have kielbasa on hand. I also like diced carrots and some potatoes and onions as well. And a bit of chix bullion with the water for a little extra flavor. and parsley. I think that's it.
Ok, enough about that. But if I'm not here for a few days, someone call 9-1-1.
I think tonite we deserve new food! Ole'!! Tacos it is! DH loves tacos. An so easy. I'm all about easy. Leaves more sewing time!
What's supper at your house?
