My grand-daughter's boyfriend wants me to make a quilt from some
Crown Royal bags that he has been collecting. I am not sure where
to start. I don't want to cut them unless I have to.

Can you just unsew the seams in the bags and press them?

are those bags made of a washable fabric? how many does he have?
I agree with MaryRose, if they are washable I would just unsew them and sew them all together, providing there are enough for a whole quilt...

I saw several of them at a quilt show sponsored by Little Balkans Quilt Guild (Pittsburg, KS). I don't know if they might have photos on their website of their shows. They were cut apart and made with 5" or 6" squares with the logo; some added other fabrics in golds (plaids and tone on tones), some with flannels. I think you could wash all the bags (color catchers) and cut your squares. You might do a search for quilts from Crown Royal bags.

Just put Crown royal quilts into your search engine ( google ) and you'll find many pictures and tutorials on how to make one.
