SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Oct 8th

October is really rolling along, isn't it! Hope the weather stays tolerable. When you have a puppy, you are outside a LOT!
BECCA - what a great friend you are to take so many wonderful, comforting things to your sick pal. Best wishes for her! Loved your story about your little ones. guess it does take some adjustment for the older ones!
CAROL - my friend, who lives full time in an RV, found a crockpot recipe site on Pinterest. She spent 2 days preparing all the ingredients for a month of crockpot meals. then when it was time to pack the all into the freezer, they wouldn't fit! We were parked in our RV next to them, so she put the overflow into ours for a few weeks. now keep in mind, these are RV freezers - which are about the size of a breadbox. They were eating crockpot meals fast and furious for a while! but oh, I do love a simple crock pot meal!
JO - Love it! The Pringle Mingle. You have such a fun fami1y! I wanna come mingle with the Pringles, too! So, gotta ask - does anyone bring the Pringles? (you know, the potato chips in the tube?)
IRISH - have a fun shopping day. Your be the purrbabies' best friend when you get home.
Today - more uglies and the Washday Watusi. But I'm getting this place whipped into shape. DH has DD#1's Christmas quilt on the frame but it's slow going. He is very methodical and exact - which turns out a good quilt. But he drives me crazy, taking 3 weeks to do something I could do - albeit less skillfully - in 2 days! So I'll take an old cold 'tater and wait, I guess.
I've been stumped for supper tonite. I dont' want anything with leftovers because company will be here soon (Thurs, not Wed, like I thought). And we'll be having a big pork loin supper then. So, BECCA - I'm going to try your black beans over rice. Only DH wants some sliced kielbasa in it as well as onions - and a few red pepper flakes. We kind of had this last week - only it was chili over boiled potatoes. I'm going to add a salad to the menu and we'll be set to eat.
Bon Appetit`!
