SUPPER CLUB - FRIDAY!! - Sept 27

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Sep 27, 2013 3:12 am

Well, about noon yesterday I finally figured out it was Thursday. DH said, "We watched Middle last night and that's on Wed, so now it's Thursday". But with the DVR we rarely watch a show on the night its actually aired so that's an unreliable method for me. and I do have a calendar next to the computer -when it's in the office. But I'm usually on the couch in the living room when I'm talking to you. It's not my fault!!

It sure looks like our No L---R list is getting crowded! haha! I figured I'd - for once - be in the majority here!

I'm not for certain sure what supper will be tonite, but maybe pork chops, rice, and salad. But DH may just say, 'pull some leftover chili out of the freezer and warm it up.' And I'd be good with that!

Decisions! Decisions! What decision are you making for your supper?

Good morning from warm, sunny, SW. Pa...Another gorgeous day!

Oh Mary, I know what you mean about decisions....Just trying to figure out which foot to put on the floor 1st in the morning has me sometimes.....
But, today is another out to lunch....My dearest DIL asked me to meet her during her lunch hour...She won a "free lunch" in a little raffle at work and who else would she call, right???This is Kevin's wife and really a sweetie....
And then when I get back, I'm hoping Jim will want to do some carpet shopping..AND if that happens, maybe along the way, he'll want to stop and grab something to eat....Won't be much for me but better than me trying to come up with something at home.....We'll see!

Happy eating.................

It's suppose to rain and maybe snow today. Just what we don't need. The cleanup company brought over fans and 2 dehumidifiers yesterday. We are suppose to keep the windows and garage door closed with so much humidity out today, 74% right now. So I don't know if we will get much done today.

I'm trying not to buy too much food, since I'm not sure how long we will be here. I think the choices are homemade pizza or some kind of Mexican rolled up, frozen, things that looked quick to fix.

I'm really tired this morning. Hope more coffee and a shower will help.

Well, I had plans to grill burgers and find some corn on the cob for dinner, but then, I was talking to a friend about getting a check to her to help pay for the live Nativity during the Christmas Walk, and she suggested that we all meet at Mama's Grill when she gets off work for dinner! Whooo Hooo!

We were there at noon today to eat after coming from a funeral. I don't know if any of you remember me talking about Miss Pearl who spent many years with me in the old log cabin at the antique machinery show. Darlene, her daughter is with me now. Pearl passed away on Tuesday this week..she was 90 and will be greatly missed. I did ok until I saw the beautiful wedding ring quilt that she made laying across her casket...

Good afternoon!

I know what we will be eating for the entire week-end! The whole family will be out here for dinners the rest of the time. FIL arrived and BIL too - BIL is staying at a hotel - thank goodness - he is a pain - but will be here for dinners while visiting with his Dad. So tonight I am making "mac & cheese" chowder - the New England type with cornbread - that can be in my crockpot for when ever dinner rolls around - tomorrow will be spaghetti with garlic cheese bread and a salad - and the big Sunday dinner will be pot roast, roasted garlic and regular mashed potatoes, broccoli, gravy, homemade dinner rolls and lemon pie for dessert. I found a mix for a caramel apple cookie - that will be for the little kids - they like cookies better than pie.

Since I am cooking for a crowd, what is a few more - y'all come! Dinner is around 6 or so

Enjoy
Jana

Oh yes I have SNOW!!!! on the ground for a time - it is now melted.

Hi Everyone,
Joanne - I am so sorry you lost a friend. How beautiful for them to place the quilt on her casket! It must have meant a great deal to her. Prayers for you, her friends and family!

Tonight we are having leftovers. It will be pasta with meatsauce, salad and garlic toast.

Carol
