SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Sept 13th
Today is Puppy Day!! I keep looking at Riley Kitty and thinking how HER life is going to change. She's not a big fan of pets in the house, in the bed, or in her life. I think we have a few snarly days ahead of us!
IRISH - good to hear you're not walking the streets anymore! Yes, I'm sure mama is giving Baby Dog all kinds of advice: "Make sure you chew the legs on their furniture. They love that!" or "If you feel a barf coming on, run for the carpet! It's more fum that way!". I can hear her now. haha!
JO - hope your RA lets you get to that tablerunner. you could always just cut pretty Christmas fabric in one piece and bind it. Especially if it's fabric that has a 'scene' on it . . .
BECCA - I'm not sure you can just plan a "Me Day". I think something will always come up. One morning you just need to declare, "today's the day, World! make your own dinner!" lol!
JANA - I did get through Costco yesterday! I only sat down once, on the mattress display and rested until Bill caught up with me. I didn't really outrun him, but he had to return some shoes. Today will be Safeway. I try to do my exercises first and it limbers up the leg.
Tonite our plates will be featuring SALAD!! We haven't had salad in a few weeks because I like to buy lettuce at Costco. But I don't like to go to Costco just for lettuce. So I was waiting for the list to grow respectably long. and sure enough - it did! along with salad, will be what we call bikers' hash. A skillet scramble of potatoes, peppers, onions, sausages, and eggs. With a little cheese sprinkled over the top. One of my favorite meals!
So, what's on the menu at your house?

Hello To all.Cooler temps here & It feels great.
MARYz Know Puppy Day will be a blast!!! Hope it does not keep you up at nite crying for Mama.

JOANNE Hope that RA settles down soon.Maybe you can come up with a new idea on your runner to make it easier .
I tried to avoid the menu but no such luck.Grilled burgers ,Green beans, chips & cookies. All the banana bread is gone.....Becca

Afternoon from semi sunny, much cooler, SW. Pa...Joanne should love this weather......
Mary, Happy Puppy Day!...Boy, I thought it would never get here...I was thinking of Riley and wondering if you had had a long talk...And I'm sure Riley will put the new little boy in his place more than once.....This is a happy day for you but it's going to be a sad for us....We have a 2:30 appointment at the vets for our Kaylee...It's time...We've been putting it off but we can't be selfish any longer, she deserves to rest in peace.....
And as far as dinner, it will be left over Chicken Pot Pie from last night.....Maybe do the chili tomorrow.....
Happy eating.............

Good afternoon - quick type through - Ethan is a grouch!
Dinner will be a steak with the trimmings or leftover chicken - depends on how the rest of the day goes!
DH has a appointment at the Assisted living place to get all the papers in order for his Dad. The move will be the end of this month. So I don't how long that will take -
The sky is quite dark and I hear rumbling in the north of me - time to shut down for the afternoon -
Happy homecoming for a new little puppy! He is so loved already!
Enjoy

It seems to be a "happy and sad" pet day today...Irish Dorothy, taking your pet for it's final visit to the vet is so sad..and reminds me of my son taking their dog..and stopping at McDonalds for a cheeseburger for her because she loved them so much.
And Mary a happy day for you all..except maybe Riley..lol!
We went to Mama's tonight again...Earl had company in his workshop late this afternoon, so I kept waiting for them to leave to start dinner..but they hung in there and Earl said we would go to eat.
I found some Christmas panels...tablerunner size in my stash. So I'll use them. I don't know what possessed me to buy 5 panels! lol!! They are by Debbie Strain..and if I can do it, I'll do some free motion quilting around some of the figures.
