My SIL just sent me a picture of a little (3 inch sq.) Prayer Square that was given to her by her church. Hers has a beautiful pansy floral print on one side and a solid 4 patch on the other. They have little crosses inside them.

Lois, the directions say to use 2mm. craft foam to cut the crosses.
I have never seen these either, but I printed out the directions and will give them to a friend that has a "quilt ministry"..they make quilts for the homeless and people in their church and others. This might be something they would like to do, too.
Linda, thanks for sharing!

I'm going to try to type out the little prayer they have on the site, then print it out on the PRINTED TREASURES printing cloth and use it for the backing. Also some minkee or flannel might be nice for either the front and/or the backing.
I'm hoping to try one of these today. If I get it done, I'll post a picture. These could work for a hospital or an assisted living home.

Linda, What a beautiful and inspirational idea. I printed a few off to pass along to my sister in NM for her quilting groups. I think she belongs to at least 3 or more by now. LOL But she doesn't get on the computer very often.
Have you made any yet? I can not believe what a ministry like this would do for others. Just to know someone cares and you can tuck it into a pocket or purse as well. Would be a nice little extra gift to tuck in with other things and reach out in love and hope for others.
Thank you so much for sharing this website and idea. May God bless you for what you are doing for so many others.
Hugs and love, Shirley Mae

What a great idea! Thanks Linda. It would be great to give these to kids in Sunday school to carry with them.
I found the little wooden crosses on the Oriental Trading Company website. They are on sale. Here is a link if anyone is interested. Our church has Vacation Bible School every year and I was thinking that these little "quilts" would be perfect for the kids.
