Carole - I will have to try that recipe.

We just had a can of soup for lunch, that I found in the pantry and date expires in Dec. I don't worry too much on the date stuff, but since there was no sandwich makings it was a good excuse to have soup. DH was Ok with soup.

This got me to thinking, maybe we think about food too much.

Sometimes I will ask DH if this or that is Ok for the meal and he answers "If it fills the void and makes a turd."

I'm going to try and think that way and then I shouldn't miss all the 'good tasting' but 'bad' for me stuff.

Do you think we should set up a weekly thread. Like in swaps.

I'm down .4 (4/10ths). Sigh... a little over half a pound in 2 weeks. Well, if I can keep it up that's 25 pounds in a year.

Chriss--if you are taking baby steps, I'm barely creeping.

Congratulations Tina!

Lynn--I know we do think too much about food. But, we have to plan the meals and make the food. I know DH would rebel if I fixed him nothing but "rabbit food" and soup, although I'd be perfectly happy.

I like the idea of keeping this thread going rather than a new one every week. It's easier to check back and see where we've been.
